(CNN)—A 46-year-old man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of three Muslim students in an apartment near the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus.
Police haven't said what may have compelled the accused, Craig Stephen Hicks, to allegedly carry out the attack Tuesday evening. He turned himself into police later in the night.
But given the victims' religion and comments the alleged shooter apparently left on a Facebook page, many social media users wondered what role, if any, the victims' faith played.
The victims were Muslims: Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23; Yusor Mohammad, 21; and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19.

Since I did not read the entire story, I assume Craig Stephen Hicks is a white man or CNN would not have identified his victims.
In my opinion, Hicks was just taking a pre-emptive defensive action and probably deserves a medal.
Muslims who kill Americans here always get an "out" as being a lone random nutcase. When the truth is it is "sudden Jihad syndrome"....always as far as I am concerned

Too many questions, too early. Was the shooter a neighbor? What was the relationship? Was he out walking his dog and just came unhinged at the sight of them? Business deal gone wrong? Road rage and followed them home? He says he’s atheist but brings up their religion as a cause? Then why these three and not any other of the thousands of MEs wandering around between UNC and Duke?
I happen to have a close friend just a 1/4 mile away in Meadowmont. She’s a little unnerved to say the least.
The Council on White American Relations responded to notice of the shooting by warning that vengeful muslimes should not “indulge in any retaliatory acts” against peaceful whites, even though he feared a backlash when the news became public.
It was an OK start.

Good link — I hope someone is saving screenshots of the Atheist’s Facebook postings, likes and links (I don’t have a Facebook account) before the ruling elite “disappears” them.
Interesting, when the victims are muslim we get that in the headline, when the perp is muslim....
1. Were these ‘students’ American citizens?
2. Could these ‘students’ have been part of a ‘sleeper cell’?
3. The shooter declared, by inference, that mohammedanism is the spark of his actions.
4. Has the shooter ever been involved, since he is a declared militant atheist, with any other altercations with Jewish or Christian connections?
Should these ‘students’ be found to be alien, and not citizens, so what.

The man who was killed looks like an American who converted to Islam and maybe his wife too. She looks like she could be American or a born Muslim
