Joe Scarborough's defense of Brian Williams amounts to a warning to people in the media and politics: I know a lot about many of you, too.

On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough ominously said: "in over a decade in this news business, it is fair to say looking straight in the camera, I've seen a lot, I know a lot, and I know that there are very few people in this industry or in politics that could live by the standard of perfection. Cast the first stone? I would be careful."

And the winner is...neither of them. They are both losers. However the biggest losers are the citizens of the US, who watch the MSM, vote for Hillary or politicians like her OR have to live with any/all of the above.

This isn't about perfection. Every news outlet gets a story wrong sometimes. In the rush to get the scoop, sometimes all the facts are not quite factual, and so it is that you see a retraction the next day of whatever aspect they got wrong.

What Williams did was to lie about his first person account for years and years. That's not merely an imperfection. It's willful, unabated deceit, and it shows the corruption, not only of his character, but of those in the know at NBC in general.

Scarborough's waving of the "imperfection" flag is so disingenuous that his own moral decrepitude is apparent.
