WASHINGTON A 95-year-old newlywed Virginia man has died just weeks after his 96-year-old wife was taken away by family members to Florida.
Eddie Harrison died Tuesday in a hospital after suffering from influenza, said Rebecca Wright, who was caring for the couple in their Alexandria, Va., home. Harrison became distressed after his wife and longtime companion, 96-year-old Edith Hill, was taken away, Wright said. Wright is Hill's daughter.
"He lived for her, and she lived for him. It's the love story of the century," Wright said, recalling how they would dance, take walks and care for each other.

"Another of Hill's daughters, Patricia Barber, contested the marriage, saying it would complicate the eventual distribution of Hill's estate."
Their suffering is done.
It’s amazing how greedy some people get, especially when someone dies.
Hope she gets what she deserves................
She’s 96 and he’s 95? Sounds like an episode of Cougar Town.
You’re right about the money quote.
Died of influenza too, not unusual, but it’s the season.
Everyone does, unless they are saved.
And now they dispute it? Stinks to high heaven. Sounds like a liberal judge allowed it.
Think "Let no man put asunder"
Also I blame the reporter. Calling him a “Newlywed” after 10 years. What a smokescreen.
I hope he had time to write his family out of his estate.
If I never see a red cent of my parents money or estate, it would suit me fine.
I have never understood how family members can act this way.
I would have moved heaven and earth to keep those two together. It boggles the mind the lengths people will go to for their children, and the complete refusal to do the same for their mom and dad, or mom and here significant others, or their father and his significant others.
They took her December 6th, not a guilty conscience between them. What vile inhuman people...
“Oh, they’re old and it’s their time anyway.”
Hogwash!
This was a sin IMO. I hope the good Lord visits proper retribution upon them.
Lowest of the low, nuff said, but I could say a hell of a lot more.
The wife didn’t die. I wonder if they even told her that her husband died.
Newlywed is acceptable. They were married less than a year, but knew each other for 10 years.
The sin of Greed.
That's what "last" wills are about. And believe me, those last messages can strike home
Of course he is a newlywed. He just got married.
Patricia Barber, the rottenest, stinkingest, greediest selfish bitch in Florida State.
Several things don’t add up.
Judge allowed the marriage to stand, but Edith Hill had been declared legally incapicated for several years.
A {different?} judge appointed a new guardian for Hill. The guardian arrived to take Hill away to Barber’s home.
[Sounds like the guardian was in cahoots with Barber.]
