The money quote:
"Another of Hill's daughters, Patricia Barber, contested the marriage, saying it would complicate the eventual distribution of Hill's estate."

It’s amazing how greedy some people get, especially when someone dies.

She’s 96 and he’s 95? Sounds like an episode of Cougar Town.

You’re right about the money quote.
Died of influenza too, not unusual, but it’s the season.

Another Money quote:
"Harrison and Hill's marriage this year after 10 years of companionship was disputed in court. " And now they dispute it? Stinks to high heaven. Sounds like a liberal judge allowed it.
Think "Let no man put asunder"

I hate to tell the kids but mom has the right to get married, again if she so chooses.

I’ve heard of elderly widows and widowers living together, but remaining unmarried for years to continue receiving higher Social Security or other benefits. But as illness, incapacity and death approach, they get married to more easily grant inheritance rights and decision-making powers to their partner.
Perhaps this poor woman’s children finally decided to pay some attention to her and make sure her will was “corrected”.

yep, there it is.
That said, if you have kids and want to marry a second time, just get a prenup, that the stuff you had before goes to the kids in equal shares, and the stuff acquired after marriage goes to the surviving spouse, that covers it all.

And there is the reason. Children can be evil but sometimes you have to wonder where they learned it.
