It’s amazing how greedy some people get, especially when someone dies.
If I never see a red cent of my parents money or estate, it would suit me fine.
I have never understood how family members can act this way.
I would have moved heaven and earth to keep those two together. It boggles the mind the lengths people will go to for their children, and the complete refusal to do the same for their mom and dad, or mom and here significant others, or their father and his significant others.
They took her December 6th, not a guilty conscience between them. What vile inhuman people...
“Oh, they’re old and it’s their time anyway.”
Hogwash!
This was a sin IMO. I hope the good Lord visits proper retribution upon them.
One of my favorite Mother Angelica anecdotes...
Mother A: Hello. What's your question?
Caller: I wanted some advice on how to deal with my sisters.
M: What's the problem?
C: They're fighting... over an estate.
M: Oh.... Are they fighting over money?
C: No....
M: What?
C: Um... They're fighting over... a toilet.
Audience laughs.
M: A what?!
C: A toilet.
More laughter.
M: I thought that's what you said.
C: Well, it's not just a toilet.
M: Oh? (more laughter)
C: It's an inlaid toilet.
Uproarious laughter.
M: Ohhhhhhhhh, an inlaid toilet... (rolls eyes). Why didn't you say so?
More laughter.
C: I know, but...
M: Well, I'll tell you what to do...
C: What Mother?
M: I would tell them to take turns sticking their heads in it.
Audience roars.
It pales in comparison to these old guys getting conned and suckered into marriage when they're in their late 70s and 80s, etc...The line of hustlers wraps around the country several times.
