Rick Santorum: White House decision around June
Politico ^ | 11/17/2014 | Kyle Cheney

Former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, who nipped at Mitt Romney’s heels in the 2012 Republican presidential primary, says he’s eyeing mid-2015 for a decision about a second White House bid.

“Four years ago, we ended up announcing in June of 2011. If past is a portent of the future, that’s probably a ballpark,” he said in a phone interview.

Santorum said he’s actively engaged with party donors and activists to assess whether he has a path to the nomination.

“We’re doing everything consistent with making an effort,” he said. “We’re talking to donors, we’re looking at talking to people in the early primary states and trying to get a gauge of support and doing the grunt work, if you will, of seeing whether there’s a path forward for us.”

And you can only gum up the works for someone who can.

Not necessarily.

I'd like to see a dozen Rino's in the run, divvying up the Rino vote amongst them.

With some Conservative stragerism, that could give a lone, articulate, conservative Constitutionalist an edge.

I guess I’m going to be the contrarian here. Rick Santorum has a proven track record of being conservative to very conservative on most issues. I would have no problem with him being our nominee. That said, I don’t think he has a good shot. He’s a long shot at best.

Another retread who couldn’t keep his Senate seat apparently doesn’t have anything better to do than make another futile run for the WH.

If you don't mind me adding: Another retread who couldn’t keep his Senate seat apparently doesn’t have anything better to do than make another futile, self-serving, delusional run for the WH.

He wants a high paying job as a lobbyist.

He left office in January, 2007. If he couldn't get a lobbyist job in the last 7 years, another losing presidential run isn't going to add much to his resume.

I remember how much of a childish BRAT this POS was, sullying a national debate for President of The United States.

He hasn’t got the decorum necessary for the job.
He had only one issue, last time. What could he possibly do, to erase his historical performance, the last time?

Rick, stay home, and let us not hear your “midnight confessions”.

I’ve no need to wait till June. I know (and have for many years) that I will NOT vote for Santorum.

Don't believe it. They are just trying to keep people from stopping this.

Rest assure this is done.

Impeachment and removal from office MUST happen, or the congress at that point will be simply ceremonial.

See, right there is the reason not to back him.

When you start backing people like, Specter, Murkowski, McCain, Graham... lots of others (and Rick didn’t support all these), you reveal your true colors.

You either have loyalty to Reagan’s Conservatism, or you have loyalty to something else.

Reagan wasn’t perfect, but he clearly defined the right path, and I respect the man a great deal for doing that.

Those that veer from it, and then back the people listed above, or that caliber of person, need not apply.

Go (away) Rick Go...
