Thomas A. Duncan, who became ill with Ebola after arriving from West Africa in Dallas two weeks ago, succumbed to the virus today (Sunday), reports Reuters. Duncan was fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital on today after his condition worsened to critical, according to the director of the US Centers for Disease Control.
The Dallas hospital that admitted him did not recognize the deadly disease at first and sent him home, only for him to return two days later by ambulance.

Is it true that the nurse said that? If so, just -wow!
But even so, the hospital should have instructed their staff weeks if not months ago, particularly since north Texas supposedly has some 10,000 Liberians.
The articles I have seen are poorly written.
Exactly. The other survivors were white.
I'd like to think so. He may have killed all those people, everyone on the airplane and placed all Americans in jeopardy.
At best this is a hideous act.
You know for many years- deacades in fact- I lived believing that “everyone “ knew what I did. That is NOT to say I was one bit smarter than the next person but that we Americans all had basic facts in our mental database. I have learned late that I was utterly wrong.
By the way- thank you so much for the conscientious work you’re doing on this thread. I have followed it with interest.
I meant the Ebola surveillance thread!
If this guy is actually dead, why isn’t the government reporting it? Another Obama regime coverup?
Because obscure Israeli newspapers print rumors.
The major news outlets would wait for confirmation, considering how highly charged the subject of ebola is.
I believe the doctor is now suffering from a respiratory problem.
But the person in Newark does NOT have Ebola ... And never had it,
Parkland= county hospital
Presby= hoity toity private hospital.
Although I don’t believe they sent some guy home that they actually thought had Ebola...I can see where they asked about insurance. When they found that he had none they sent him on his way with antibiotics and instructions to get rest and drink plenty of liquids.
I’ll be interested to see if this report is in fact true. If so, I think I’ll subscribe to their site. :) Still nothing on local news that I can find.
Actually, most ebola survivors have been from Africa, from the jungle, where they likely have developed antibodies for something like ebola.
One of the recommended treatments are about a 20% transfusion from those who have survived ebola, then followed by full hydration and electrolytic balance.
Trying to find transfusions from blood types with similar antibodies in the western hemisphere is much less likely than in West Africa.
Thanks, My local hospital is a Presby but is a county hospital
“Better question is why are the airlines willing to risk passengers and crew?”
Their insurance accountant mojos have run loss/risk data projections on spread sheets and apparently feel that lawsuits will take a long time and in the mean time they can keep making money while increasing the ticket costs.
Re the crew, they figure that in today’s job market, no one or very few will quit. If Americans quit, they can hire Africans.

Really? How do you know that? What does he have? Why are they continuing to monitor him?
Toronto patient test results have come back negative. This was announced yesterday morning.

I posted the article from the WSJ. It said he did not have Ebola.
Many of these people turn out to have malaria with some of the same symptoms.
Thanks.
Geraldo the other day was saying he couldn't blame Duncan. He knew he would die if he stayed in Liberia, but thought he might live if he came to America. Whether he has already died or not, it looks like the gamble did not pay off, and may result in his own relatives and perhaps hundreds of other people getting the disease.
The American Ministry of Propaganda (ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN and even FOX)
Brilliant. I’m going to steal that from you. Replacing MSM and other derogatory names, as this defines who/what they are much better.
I wish there was a way to hold THEM accountable for the damage they are/have done to our country by their treacherous lies.
Just Google “Newark Ebola” ... There are a couple of dozen articles about the Newark thing NOT being Ebola.
It seems some people on FR are heavily invested in the world dying of Ebola.
