A 20-year-old Dartmouth student says she may have to give up her Ivy League dream and drop out of school because the prestigious college won't allow her to carry a gun—to protect herself against a predator.
Taylor Woolrich, a junior, says Dartmouth administrators told her they won’t let her carry a gun on campus, even though she lives in fear of a man who has been stalking her since she was a high school student in San Diego.
“It’s absolutely unfair,” Woolrich said about her attempts to have the school make an exception to its weapons ban. “It’s one of the hardest things I’ve had to deal with.” …

If you need it, deal with those consequences then.
1. Get a boyfriend who was a Ranger, SEAL, SF, MarSoc etc in A-stan and or Iraq.

She called me and asked my advice. I said carry anyways. "How many times have you gone through a metal detector at school? How many stops and patdowns/searches of purse at school?"
Answer, none.

I’m as pro gun as they come but the guy is currently in jail. She’s brought herself needless publicity on this right now possibly inciting other stalkers through the publicity. She’s also advertising she’s unarmed to boot.
Keep tabs on this dirtbag for now and if he’s released, carry anyway and keep your mouth shut about it.

My 13 year old carries pepper spray, and has been through a course on how to use it, complete with the q-tip application of the agent below her eyes to get a sense for how long it takes to impact the assailant.
She’s already picked out her ‘purse gun’ - has it narrowed to one of about six models, although recently she’s picked up the benefits of a wheel gun vs a semi-automatic (no jamming).
She’ll likely settle on a small .38 special.
She’ll carry until she is old enough to get her CCP.
