I hope that chivalry is not dead. Surely the fine young men of Dartmouth can be organized to provide escort and protection.
My son participated in a "Safe Walks" program at his university, for a small credit towards his tuition. A student simply had to call a number to be escorted around the campus.
But off campus was a no-no.
