Rob Gray and his brother-in-law said they were walking down River Street enjoying the sites with their families when they were confronted by a man. Then, a mob attacked them.
“I took a punch to my eye and cracked my orbital,” said Gray.
“I was grabbed by the back of my head at a full run and he smashed my head into the car and I hit the ground,” said Jim Thomas. "This was a violent, malicious attack on a family of eight people."
Thomas says the attackers went after his wife as well.
"There was a man holding her by the nape of her neck, with her hair and dragging her," said Thomas.
And even his daughter was attacked.
"My 6-year-old daughter was punched in the stomach by an adult," he said.
The men say they didn’t see an officer for more than 20 minutes after the attack.

Don’t confront strangers. You know nothing about them. Sure if they’re attacking you by all means defend yourself or run, but for simply bumping into them in a crowd? I just would just mumble excuse me and move on.
Even in stand your ground states it looks bad when you basically started the confrontation.
I don’t know if this has been reported much anywhere (I don’t watch TV news). In any case, the father did say that the couple was black. I hope this gets better reporting in Savannah and elsewhere, though, and that the city addresses this honestly, because things like this can really be destructive to the tourist industry, a big source of income for Savannah.
I read the whole article and they never did say whether or not Mother’s Day was seriously injured...

Can't tell if you're being condescending or pointing out a fact.
The byline says Atlanta. The attack was in Savannah. The reporting website is in Jacksonville. I can see where the confusion lay.

Carry extra mags ... Holder’s people are being trained to attack and raid in gaggles. A semi-auto should have at least 30 rounds at disposal. Fifty if possible.
the media fools no one anymore. Look at the comments at the article. People everywhere are sharing the sentiments expressed here at FR.
The very reason they attack in groups is the same reason that dropping one or two will be all that is necessary if they do attack.
Armed or Unarmed, I wouldn’t be allowing that, there would of been a body count. I used to teach unarmed combat in the infantry, and guns are great, but it’s good to know other forms of combat too. Knowledge is power.
So many people lack any situational awareness much to their pain.
The press doesn’t care about the ‘tourist industry’ - the press cares about making sure black crime against whites is hidden. If black on white crime - and the full extent of it becomes known - it’ll hurt democrats.
That’s the sum total of the reason for hiding it... If this had been a black family - and some white thugs had beaten them up it would be in the news for months. It would be ‘Zimmerman on speed’...
It appears the victims’ route took them to the wrong side of the Bell Curve.

Here in NJ these incidents are rare because white people rarely bother going anywhere that doesn’t have a 100:1 white:black ratio (and stories like this vindicate them). Since many of the Americans here are descended from those who lived in the cities before they fell, they have no misconceptions about race relations in this country. For the foreigners rapidly filling the state, they either learn quickly or somehow already know.
I don’t doubt that the Obama/Holder Reign of Black Terror is even further increasing the number of whites who have 0 contact with blacks in their daily lives. “Post-racial president”...
Don’t count on it. The bloodlust can rule a mob/herd/gaggle removing rational calculation. Besides, in a gaggle of feral animals you may have one or more carrying a firearm, so you will need to terminate those asap.
Curious to note in this case would be that if one of the persons were “carrying”, they would likely have not made an issue of being “bullied”, knowing they had the upper-hand in any confrontation.
This beat-down would not have happened because the CCW holder would not have made an issue of it. Correspondingly, the thugs would have “gotten away” with being jackasses and bullies.
On a personal note, I’ve been bullied in the same way (”push through intimidation”) and commented out loud that the person was a “jerk”. The thug spun on me and asked, “Did you just call me a nigger?”
My reply was, “No. Mr. Glock and I called you a “jerk”. The situation quickly changed.
