How far will the government go to infringe on your rights?

In San Francisco, residents aren’t even allowed to store their own belongings in their home.

Residents of the liberal city are banned from using their garage to store any personal property other than a vehicle. Chapter Six of the San Francisco Housing Code states, “Private and public storage garages in apartment houses and hotels shall be used only for storage of automobiles.” Those who violate the law can be slapped with a $500 fine.

Time to start snitching on every liberal who has a garage...

So if they have their car inthe garage and there is a workbench inthe same bay, then the workbench is in violation???

Find out where members of city council live, take pics of their open garages when they leave in the morning, note ANY objects in the garage besides the car...

REPORT EVERYONE!!!!

The American people are not the kind to protest or react early on to this stupidity. At some point they will in mass just SNAP and politicians are going to have a big problem on their hands.
I hope it will be limited to legal protests and behavior though, but as government closes family potential down and drains their savings I don’t see this being a bed of roses for anyone in the future.

The FEMA food and camps are for the fed gov’s own protection under siege. If you have food to hold a siege and ammo, their plan of pimping your children, wife hostages as shields and you through welfare fails.

When I was growing up in Queens in the 1950’s, the guy next door had his garage stuffed with tires, floor to roof, wall to wall. He parked his car on the street. We moved about six blocks to bigger house, leaving our house vacant for a while. In about three weeks, he had our old garage stuffed floor to roof, wall to wall with tires.

“Uh, so you can’t “store” some of your extended family in there?”

This means you have to get rid of the freezer in the garage - the one with the body in it

Why are they doing that, what was the intent behind this.

I would guess that the owners of renta storage space businesses were heavy campaign contributors, wouldn't you?

If majority voters in SF don’t like this law but don’t exercise their voting muscle to resolve this situation, then they can sleep in the bed that they have made for themselves imo.

“Also, I know of at last one subdivision in the Austin area that does not allow anything in the garage but a car...that would be Riverplace,,and all the cars must be parked in the garage. I don’t know how families with more cars than garage space are managed.”

These restrictions are put in place by the developer so the place looks nice while he’s still selling homes. Then, they turn them over to people who have never had more than a thousand dollars in their account at one time. These neo-Nazis now have $100,000 and the power to make virtually everybody do whatever they like. They can sue and seize houses. Google “Evil” and “HOA” and you’ll get hundreds of horror stories. When Bush was governor in Florida the legislature passed a bill to limit what HOA’s could do, but he refused to sign it. (I lost all respect and never want him as president.)

There will be no good end for government elites if they try too much stupidity IMO. They can all be replaced.

If this happened a few decades ago a few notable tech companies would not exist - invented calculators and personal computers in the garage. Oh yeah, maybe a garage band somewhere in sf would not have made it big. Just stop the stupid laws. Meet twice a year for public meetings and just go get a real job.

It seems like we read about a new governmental power grab every day, at local, state and federal levels. Liberty is suffering the death of a thousand cuts right before our eyes.

Behold, the new communists capital of the world. Yes the world. California and New York are the two States that it would pay to get the hell out.

Oh it will be ugly one way or the other. The sodomites are notorious polluters and cannot resist the orgy of filth.

Sam Francisco is the perfect test bed.

You wouldn't have to worry about the government. They would be stolen before it even found out.

You think this is bad. We have friends from out of state who bought a five unit apartment on Telegraph Hill. It took them five years of ownership to get the over 60 tenant out of the penthouse so they could use it themselves (the guy actually got a girlfriend and moved away). It took more than a year to get any of the tenants to move out, so when they went to SF, they stayed in a hotel and had to be content with having lunch on the roof. All this due to San Francisco’s arcane rent control laws. BTW, in SF you can only raise rents 60% of the actual increase in your costs.
