A CNN/ORC International survey released Friday indicates that 90% of all Americans approve of how Kennedy handled his job as President. No other President of the last half century even comes close.
Second place belongs to Ronald Reagan, with a 78% retrospective approval rating, followed by Bill Clinton with 74%. Richard Nixon, Kennedy's 1960 rival and the only president ever forced to resign, is at the bottom with only 31% approving of his track record from 1969 to 1974. Only George W. Bush, with a 42% retrospective approval rating, is also under 50%.
"History has generally been kind to ex-presidents, but none more so than Kennedy. His approval rating in November of 1963 was 58%. In the 1990s, that number rose to 78% and rose even further in later years," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

JFK has received nothing but worship in the media for 50 years.
Reagan achieved his popularity while being trashed daily by the same MSM.
Notice Nixon is called out as being forced from office(he resigned.) And the only elected President to be impeached? Who might that be?
Yes you can. I’ll pick up a copy.
When the POS surfaces from time to time to make comments, I want to wring his neck.
Done. Kindled...
OOps! Thanks...I should have said FOURTH worst president. Good catch!
That would be the nation’s first Black president.
The dope from Hope...
You wouldn't be referring to that wise old sage of today's democrat party, the one & only Sinkmeister, Bent One, Slickster, Bill ('Toon) Clinton?
Some day in the distant future, I will take my grandkids on my knee and tell them the real story of the Bill Clinton their grade school teachers swoon over. Just a small part of that story will regard his impeachment.
I cannot wait.
Fantasy land.

RE: I wonder what his rating would be if he had not been killed.
A late 1963 poll before Kennedy was killed had him TRAILING Goldwater for the 1964 Presidential elections.
I don't know anyone could rate him anywhere near the top. His bungling of the Bay of Pigs almost started WWIII with the Cuban Crisis. He did a pretty good job with that, but otherwise, nada.
Since most of the people polled (median US age 36) weren’t even alive when Kennedy was President why pay any attention. Also if Carter is not below Bush I question the intelligence of those polled.
This is BS, I was a working adult when he was president and while he was in office he literally did not do anything worth while and today there was a headline somewhere that they were having a moment of silence for him. Ca mon man, “give it up”! You can tell they (liberals) are really scared and desperate.
James A. Garfield as well. He last 6 months as President before he was killed, and "accomplished" about the same amount that JFK did in 3 years. Of course you don't see the media building some fairy tale story about how wonderful life was under Garfield and making his wife and kids out to be royalty.
Put me down in the 10% of Americans who do NOT "approve" of Kennedy's job performance from 1961-19643.
He was a mediocre president at best with a good understanding of tax matters but a poor understanding of foreign affairs. His greatest achievement as president was probably Marilyn Monroe
Sleeping with MM doesn't count, though I'm sure it was something to brag about.
Yep. CNN touting the high approval ratings of a sex addict. Nice.
Clinton?
Carter is the worst of AMERICAN presidents!
So people think the #1 attribute for a great president is to get assassinated?
Death is always a good career move.
