For many years, those of us in the Arctic have been fighting the wood stove ban. The use of PM2.5 particulates has been an issue pursued by local agencies as a way to swipe at those who choose to live beyond the borders of traditional civilization. That attack has now extended to the rest of the United States.
In a stunning move, the Environmental Protection Agency decided to ban most of the operational wood stoves in the U.S.
In those places where there is you, God, and nature, the wood stove has represented that one thing that can sustain. Going after local PM2.5 particulates has been one of many methods to attack those who choose to live independent of government. As Off Grid and American Prepper survival report reveals:
The EPAs new environmental regulations reduce the amount of airborne fine-particle matter from 15 micrograms to 12 micrograms per cubic meter of air.
This means that most wood burning stoves would now fall into a class that would deemed unacceptable under these new draconian measures. The EPA has even launched a nifty new website called Burn Wise to try to sway public opinion.
On their site, while trying to convince people to get rid of their old stoves and buy the new EPA-certified stoves, they state that these older stove must be scrapped and cannot be resold.

DC is already pretty much uninhabitable.
It’s about time to put the Epa to sleep..
what a waste of power.. for what?
so volcanoes can continue to spew more crap than any other living thing on earth?
I was unable to get the EPA list of acceptable wood stoves to load. I wonder if it’s an internet problem, or a guv shutdown problem?
Suburban demonrats who havent a clue.
Wait till winter, then use an anonymous method to contact the EPA saying you saw smoke coming from every Obama supporter’s chimney!
I WILL NOT COMPLY.
And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

“Ive also noticed that strike anywhere matches are no where as good as they were fifty years ago”
-
NOTHING is as good as they were 50 years ago. Nothing.
.
“Regular kitchen strike anywhere matches are no longer sold. I stored strike anywhere matches before they were outlawed.”
They aren’t outlawed and you can still buy them.
The only reason you don’t see the ‘strike-anywhere’ matches in stores anymore is because of hasmat regulations and shipping restrictions like they put on gunpowder used for reloading ammo.
There is a big fee that must be paid to have them shipped.
A box of kitchen matches will cost you about $15 with the shipping.
Note...this ad says it contains lots of boxes of matches, but the total match count is about the same as one reg old box of kitchen matches.

So do I. Who needs a shredder?
Psst, ask him about his social security bennies.
Alex is a pig in the first degree, and more than juvenile considering his advanced age.
“I also have strike anywhere matches. They are great when first opened, the the local humidity seems to kill them.”
Take a bar of canning wax and melt it in a small shallow container. Dip each match tip in the melted wax (about 1/3 of the match stick) and let cool.
You now have strike anywhere waterproof matches.
“OMG, BAN CAMPFIRES! “
The forest services already does in some wilderness areas and it’s not because of wildfire danger either.
Then they will need to ban the private sale of sheet steel bricks & require the people to forget how to use a welding machine. The idiots may try but they will not succeed.
There are a lot of videos on Youtube re: instruction for making your own rocket stove. The ones made of metal cans would probably rust in our humid climate, so we plan to get chimney bricks to build ours. You don’t have to spend a lot to obtain a rocket stove.
“...it’s to kill the supply chain....” Much like their long-range strategy for firearms.
‘They can have my wood stove when they can pry it from my warm, well armed, heavily muscled from cutting wood hands.’
Indeed. But after the regs take effect, where would one buy one so as to be disobedient?
The EPA are literally attempting to shut down free trade in wood stoves.Take your Marxist propaganda elsewhere! The EPA is looking after freedom-loving patriots!
