Last night Cruz really took Roberts to the wood shed. Paul makes excellent points on the president legislating from the WH with these exemptions, Cruz has make that point a few times also. I think 50 years ago Congress (Ds and Rs) would have rebelled at an executive over reach like that.

Cruz has done more in the last 24 hours to bring serious pressure on the GOP-E than all of the whiners and strategists have in the last 10 years.

It’s so much easier to pass judgement on a man, than an idea.
That’s exactly what is going on with the libs - they can’t wrap their heads around the situation. All they can do is throw arrows. If they could just look at the consequences of this piece of disaster before it’s even been implemented - than perhaps they might admit there is a problem.
But, there is a power struggle to be right - even if it destructive.
That is one of the things that has surprised and frustrated me over the years. The dem leadership has been quick to cede power and authority to the executive branch and courts. The Constitution allows (even demands) that they maintain their powers as a balance to the other branches, yet they give it away willy-nilly in the interest of political expediency.
And yes, that is the first time I have ever typed the words, “willy-nilly.”
The most devastating fact about obamacare is that the democrips’ union friends are seeking the exemptions which the democrips gave to themselves and all federal employees. If this deadly care is so great, why is the pResident exempting himself and all White House folks and all of Congress and federal employees? Truth is, this is an abomination being foisted upon the American people as a stealth tax to shift the bills and open more revenues for the ‘general fund’, which is the festering well of sociaetal engineering social welfare government dependency socialist democrips lust for.

It is probably THE single most arrogant, in-your-face, example of the contempt they hold US in that I can remember in my entire life. Would appear that it’s their Marie Antoinette moment - “Then Let Them Eat Cake.”

Several speakers have mentioned their “amendments”. Harry Reid is not going to allow anybody to offer amendments but himself. It’s a procedure called “filling the tree”. Harry Reid can allow himself to be the first person recognized on the floor and once cloture is invoked he will move to end all amendments but his own, which will be to fully fund Obamacare. It will go to a vote and win with 51 votes.
IOW, he will ram through the funding the same way he rammed through the Obamacare law - by sheer brute power without amendments or debate on amendments. That’s what makes this whole think stink so badly. It’s Harry Reid in his self-titled role as God.
