Last night Cruz really took Roberts to the wood shed. Paul makes excellent points on the president legislating from the WH with these exemptions, Cruz has make that point a few times also. I think 50 years ago Congress (Ds and Rs) would have rebelled at an executive over reach like that.
That is one of the things that has surprised and frustrated me over the years. The dem leadership has been quick to cede power and authority to the executive branch and courts. The Constitution allows (even demands) that they maintain their powers as a balance to the other branches, yet they give it away willy-nilly in the interest of political expediency.
And yes, that is the first time I have ever typed the words, “willy-nilly.”
When are they going to rebel now? This usurper in our White House has violated EVERY restriction on his power and nobody does a dang thing about it. These guys have indicated that they know Obama is lawless. I sure hope that once the Obamacare issue is dealt with, they will move to impeach the traitor who is “fundamentally transforming” this country - by BREAKING EVERY DANG LAW IN THE BOOKS!!!!
