Just a little heads up that tomorrows progressive damage-control groupthink is likely to be group-ier than usual:
Ari Shapiro ✔ @arishapiro
Spotted: @joshtpm @CapehartJ @ezraklein & other lefty columnists headed into the West Wing as a group. POTUS coffee? Carney meeting? Anyone?
Will the official emissaries of Dummie Underground be there too?
Time for Dr. Goebbels to distribute unified message.
They will all be using the same phrases and memes now.
So the list of talking points will be:
“This is old news it happened last year”
“Bush lied”
“Remember Enron”
“Climate Change”
“Its for the the children”
“You’re homophobic”
“Racist Republicans”
“We know that Nixon did it and just didn’t get caught!”
“McCarthyism”
“Minorities and women hurt most”
“The Rich get richer is all this is about”
“Viva l’revolution” Oh wait maybe we’ll leave that one out
Let me guess...the “conservatives are all crazy” meme?
This is latest Ezra Klein column:
I wodner idf rosenthal is invited?
There will hardly be room under obozo’s desk with all those lamestream leghumpers fighting to be first.
Getting ahead of the next scandal...
Setting the stage for coverage of the next crisis...
Being threatened with their very lives/livelihoods...
That list of names released ...we need to bring them down off their propaganda horse!
That would be verbal marching orders and threats
There will be no written records of the invitations or meeting agenda emanating from the White House.
To have such a meeting means the names of the attendees needs to be added to the list of people that must be removed
“Help us to change the subject. Talk about anything else. Talk about the economy. Get someone in the NFL to come out of the closet. Talk about immigration. You can probably come up with other subjects.”
Scandal-shocked House Democrats fear for 2014
By ALEX ISENSTADT | 5/20/13 5:04 AM EDT
Democrats aiming to retake the House next year against all odds tried to reassure themselves after President Barack Obamas week from hell: The election is still 18 months away, plenty of time for Republicans to turn todays gift into tomorrows albatross.
Yet the anxiety within party ranks heading into a midterm already heavily stacked in the GOPs favor is all too palpable.
I think it really is a problem. Im taken aback by it all, said Democratic House candidate Jim Graves of Minnesota, adding that he intends to air his grievances with the White House during his campaign against GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann.
