Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Tuesday introduced a bill that would require background checks to be run on anyone buying explosive powder, a reaction to last week's Boston Marathon bombing.
Reid introduced the bill, S. 792, for Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), who has been out sick for much of the year. But in a press statement, Lautenberg said the Boston bombing shows that background checks are needed for explosive materials.
"It defies common sense that anyone, even a terrorist, can walk into a store in America and buy explosive powders without a background check or any questions asked," Lautenberg said Tuesday. "Requiring a background check for an explosives permit is a small price to pay to ensure the safety of our communities.

If the "Save one child" jargon was serious they would ban Abortions that
kill a Child every few minutes. Everything can be connected to a Child,
so should we all just kill ourselves to save a Child? And what happens
when the child grows up, should the adult-child then kill itself also?
All the "Save a child" bullshit needs to be shut down for what it is, Political meandering.

Fertilizer? They actually tried that after Okie City when they realized what McVeigh used. But the fertilizer industry spoke up pointing out just how much fertilizer is used-—millions of tons-—all in bulk-—by the truck and trainload. Wasn’t workable then-—ain’t workable now.. This is the same stuff we’ve shipped to NKorea for free. But I can do as much damage with gasoline at the Cheeechens were able to do with their witches brew. So prepare to show ID to gas up.

I think the voters of Nevada should be forced to have background checks before they are allowed to vote for Harry Reid. He is clearly more dangerous than Chechnyan bombers.

One of the counter terrorism experts I saw on the news yesterday said that match heads are proffered. That's what the AQ Chef recommends. He also gives helpful hints, such as to avoid "having any of the substance on the treads [sic] of the pipe so that it wont ignite when closing the pipe" (might cause a work accident). He mostly describes pipes, although he does give passing mention to pressure cookers, fire extinguishers, and propane canisters as other suitable bomb casings. And he also lists gunpowder and "the powder from fireworks" as suitable "inflammable substances".
The AQ Chef is believed to be the late New Mexico-born Mooselimb cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki (killed by a Hellfire missile launched by a guy sitting in an office chair).

"They are deliberately importing and creating the very problems theyre using as excuses to take our freedoms."
That was basically the same idea behind ATF's Fast & Furious which got so many people killed and Obama now invoking Executive Privilege to cover it up.

I wonder just how much farther down the rabbit hole we have to go before this place will need a complete redo to put it back on track. Frankly I am surprised that any one of the things which have happened in the past few years has not sparked a complete insurrection...from the banksters getting bailed out from uncle sugar to the latest attempt to circumvent the constitution to the desire to import more aliens and to give illegals amnesty. There are so many sub cultures operating at cross purposes here now which adds to the problem. We have lost our national identity and are spiraling down into various ethnic/religion/sex/race blocs. Worse of all, we are led by a weasel in the white house who relishes in division and who has no national historical references to this country....keep your powder dry.

Will we now need backgrounds to urinate?
Citizens will be required to hold their piss until they die from renal failure. Accidental release of urine is grounds for immediate execution by Holder's police force...
It's impossible to make a joke about this **** that won't eventually become reality...

This isn't acceptable. This has nothing to do with the Islamic terrorist bombing in Boston. There is no reason to do this. Harry Reid, and like-minded worthless tyrant, are the most dangerous enemy we face by far. We can't allow them to exploit every single act of violence that occurs in our society. Stupid immigration policies, and massive incompetence by the entire Obama regime, including federal law enforcement agencies under his direction allowed this to happen.
Everyone should be preparing for the day our broken government takes away our Second Amendment rights completely, because it's only a matter of time. They have already infringed upon our rights, and at some point everyone needs draw a line in the sand. We shouldn't be working with these scumbags in any capacity. We should realize our government is broken, and the few decent politicians we have should speak up about these things, and attempt to block every single thing the left brings up until we get the information from the administration on fast and furious, Benghazi, and the Boston terrorist attack. Every branch of government is infested with those who hate our Constitution, and it's just going to keep getting worse. We can't reverse that, but we still have options.
