Liberals always say they dont want to take away guns. But give them an awful tragedy like the Newtown, Conn. shooting and they get bolder and more honest. MSNBC host Ed Schultz showed a rare bout of such honesty during a brief Twitter exchange Saturday. Schultz asked Why should anyone own an assault rifle ? and followed it up by saying it's the confiscation of these types of weapons that counts and will have an impact.
The Ed Show host wasnt done his attack on gun rights. The NRA needs to state the case why assault weapons are needed by anyone, he claimed. And after that, he told one poster that a Glock pistol qualifies as an assault weapon. That last bit is surely a surprise to both gun owners and Congress which didnt include handguns in its previous assault weapons ban.
AMEN
We bought 10 acres for that very reason. Half of it is trees and hills. Perfect for burning off the kind of energy we’re talking about here.
The sheriff said differently. I am going with the sheriff. What difference does it make? They were all bought legally. You cannot have gun confiscation without coming to Texas sooner or later. May I suggest you try us first? Let’s see how that works out for you, Ed
The idiots can’t even tell us what an assault rifle is.
I’ve asked the mods to remove my posts twice, but they remain up.
After the shock wears off this talk will backfire on the democrats bigtime.
They will be defenseless and served up like a smorgasbord for Eric Holder's ‘people’.
Plop Detroit in the middle of London and see how long it takes for Brits to $hit-can their gun ban.
The report I read stated he had a Bushmaster, another rifle almost identical to it (different brand basically, don’t remember which) and a handgun.
Supposedly he had two.
It is ok..I gotcha....we all make mistakes. I will ping you next time I make one...or three.
No Ed, you need to state the case why the "Bill of Rights" shall be renamed the "Bill of Needs" and just where the authority comes for anyone -- the government or you -- to decide what anybody else needs or doesn't need.
I hope to God that when the debate comes before Congress it will be shoved into the oppositions face that the 2A was meant for a citizenry to be able to protect itself from the very people who are attempting to deprive them of that right.
Come and take em, Ed.
When the new insane aslyums open up, straight jacket ed is a prime candidate.
Not so fast! The news reports I heard (for whatever creditability that implies)stated that he killed himself in the school when he heard police sirens. If that is true, it is extremely unlikely that he did the killings, went back to his car to deposit the rifle and then returned back into the school.
