EXCLUSIVE: CIA operators were denied request for help during Benghazi attack, sources say

Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that three urgent requests from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. Consulate and subsequent attack nearly seven hours later were denied by officials in the CIA chain of command -- who also told the CIA operators to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11. Former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were part of a small team who were at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. Consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When they heard the shots fired, they radioed to inform their higher-ups to tell them what they were hearing. They were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange. An hour later, they called again to headquarters and were again told to "stand down."

What are the odds that the Obama administration wanted the ambassador to be captured and then he could order a rescue from the Delta force and other special ops teams that were on standby? Maybe, a wicked plan gone terribly wrong?

One of the biggest clues supporting that is that the ambassador was not shot. He died of smoke inhalation and was taken to a hospital. That seemed weird from the git-go. It was as if the attackers did not want him to die.

I read that Petraeus’ ultimate goal is to become head of either Harvard and Yale...this is his ultimate dream job goal according to an interveiw with him. Is he keeping silent about what he knows because he doesn't want to destroy what chances he has to obtain such a position? Is Petraeus going along to get along, keeping himself out of the scandal, and in the process abandoning the military’s brave men and women who have looked up to him for guidance and leadership in his former position, just so he can obtain his “ideal” position in Education?

This entire situation is heartbreaking. These guys, in spite of being told to stand down, were heroes and some died trying to the right thing.

The most heart wrenching thing to me was Tyrone Woods' dad asking "Who made the decision not to save my son?" As a parent, this just hits directly in the heart.
