Democratic officials, citing weather concerns, are moving President Obama's planned nomination acceptance speech indoors -- and in doing so, choosing a significantly smaller venue that will leave out potentially thousands of Obama supporters.
The campaign is already moving to figure out what to do with those who planned to attend, and indicated Wednesday they would be invited to future Obama events, though not the main event this Thursday in Charlotte. An Obama campaign source told FoxNews.com the team is urging supporters to stay home Thursday and, instead, organize watch parties and participate in the live stream.
"We are encouraging them not to come to Charlotte," the source said.
Obama plans to speak to surely-disappointed credential holders via conference call Thursday afternoon.
The sudden change of plans, announced Wednesday by the Democratic convention committee, significantly scales back the atmosphere for Obama's second nomination address.

“If the DNC convention gets any smaller, my bathroom is available.”
You’d never get rid of the smell.
Were you referring to the rainforest guy?
A link would be polite since you are referring to it. I think everyone here would appreciate it.
Youd never get rid of the smell.
You’re right. Scratch my bathroom - too risky.
Also stated it could be optics, it is NOT weather. Obama has given speeches in rain in PA and VA.

THE empty chair attracts only more empty chairs these days. XD
Imagine their horror when they find out it was for a Bobcats game.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Police arrested a Charlotte activist Sunday for a traffic violation and sought to keep him in jail during the Democratic National Convention because an officer said he is an activist on a terrorist watch list, court documents show.
Chief District Judge Lisa Bell on Monday reduced the bond for James Ian Tyson, 27, from $10,000 an unusually high amount for driving while license revoked to $2,500.
He was released at about 8 p.m. Monday
CHARLOTTE, N.C. President Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in Charlotte on Wednesday afternoon, before delivering his acceptance speech at Bank of America stadium Thursday night.
The schedule calls for Air Force One to land at the N.C. Air National Guard base at 2:45 Wednesday, with Obamas departure slated for 10 a.m. Friday. Those events will delay flights at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and the motorcades taking him from and to the airport will disrupt traffic.
There has been no official word on where the Obamas are staying, though its widely believed to be the Ballantyne Hotel and Resort. Spokespersons for the hotel and the Obamas have declined to discuss arrangements.
Dogs were patrolling the hotel, he said, while a line of dump trucks blocks the road that leads to the lodge and an adjacent four-bedroom cottage.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. Authorities briefly detained an unidentified woman they spotted videotaping buildings near Bank of America Stadium Tuesday morning.
At about 10 a.m., police spotted the woman at a Mint Street parking deck filming buildings, according to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Lt. S.A. Sharp.
When police approached, she walked away and spoke to a man at the parking deck.
Soon, about 20 officers gathered at the parking deck.
By 10:30 a.m., authorities had handcuffed the suspect a tall blonde woman who appeared to be in her 30s or 40s and were questioning her. They released her about 45 minutes later.
Secret Service is not going to arrest them, and were not going against that, Sharp said.

Thursday outlook ... Forecasters still think the thunderstorm chances will be lower Thursday than earlier in the week. With President Obama scheduled to speak about 10 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium, and a nine-hour program of live music scheduled before that, the forecast is important.
Horne said thunderstorms will be possible. In fact, the chance of severe weather might be higher Thursday than on Tuesday or Wednesday. But the overall coverage of storms will be less. And by evening, storm chances will decrease.
Translated ... there will be fewer storms, but they could be strong. And the highest chance of storms will be during the daytime portion of the program.

Pay and Bus’em in, ObamaIdiot........opps, apparently, that failed. /s =.=
He should probably consider moving to his Hawaii estate now rather than after the election to save time.
He gave speeches in the rain when plenty of supporters were there. If the rainforest guy was a threat, they would not have released him. The guy isn’t popular anymore and they are trying to fill an appropriate stadium to save face. Obama has made campaigning into a psychological event. He wants to appear popular so that the sheeple will think he is and follow the crowd.
Sorry, with all the faggots in attendance, the bathrooms have been booked solid for months.
Again,released.
Wow. The curse of the empty chair. OOOOOOOh. And you guys messed with Jesus...and God?!
Considering how many non-threats are on terror watch-list...
Imagine all the people who've made or begun their trek to Charlotte (probably threatened if they did not attend) who can now change plans again. Your party is disintegrating.
The crowd is going to be so stoned, they wouldn’t even notice the rain.
Don’t think we’d even notice strong winds — too many blowhards and hot air already there.
