Team Obama did everything they could to get the unpopular Obamacare bill passed, even though the president's party controlled Congress. This included cutting deals with the drug industry that reeked of cronyism and Democrats insinuating that conservatives and Tea Partiers who were opposed to Obamacare were racists.
And now, as Obamacare has become more unpopular the more people learn about its various provisions and may be ruled to be unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, Team Obama still seems to know nothing but politicization.
In a piece in the New Yorker about what the Obama administration's agenda in a potential second term would be, reporter Ryan Lizza quotes a former Obama aide who reveals to him how the White House intends to politicize Obamacare should the Supreme Court find it, or parts of it, to be unconstitutional:
Whether the Supreme Court overturns the law in part or in full, the White House will need to respond publicly. The strategy is to just go on the offensive and say, Look at Citizens United, look at the health-care decision, look at Bush v. Gore, the former aide said. We have an out-of-control activist court, and Romney will make it worse. Thats Plan A. Plan B is nothing.

More of the same, and a lot of it.
White House Will Politicize ______________ (fill in the blank).
They will excuse any excess because they know that they are the chosen. It is religious zealotry at play.
lets hope they do....
poll after poll after poll shows Americans want repeal of the health care law; this is a lose-lose situation for the rats and obama:
1) the SC rules against obamacare and his corrupt administration rails against the ruling, which most Americans will favor...
2) the SC rules in favor of that colossal failure and the obozo administration celebrates against the will of the American people...
problem is, the GOP will be too cowardly to understand this rather than bludgeon obama over the head with it...
Such a move by the White House would seem obvious enough. What’s questionable is whether or not there’s leadership in the RNC that has already formulated a response and communication strategy.
Suppose the RNC expects Mr. Levin to do all their heavy lifting.
The strategy is to just go on the offensive and say, Look at Citizens United, look at the health-care decision, look at Bush v. Gore, the former aide said. We have an out-of-control activist court, and Romney will make it worse.”
“There is NO Plan ‘B’.
It’s one of the tactics they know best, PROJECTION.
Yes, I've heard them already testing this message.
It may play well with the base, but the vast majority of other people will be turned off by the rhetoric because they will agree with the court.
And, truth be told, many on the left are going to be also secretly relieved that the mandate will have been struck down LOL.
and we have our winner for the Captain Obvious Headline of the Day
Oh, you mean the the Citizens United decision Obama publicly excoriated in his State-of-the-Union speech... and then implemented as part of his campaign fundraising strategy. You mean that Citizens United? Oh.
Let them politicize it. 2/3 of the people who matter are against it. Obama, you lost. Get over it chump.
If the Supreme Court decides that Obamacare is constitutional, the MSM will declare a great political victory for Obama.
If the Supreme Court decides that Obamacare is unconstitutional but only rejects part of it, the MSM will declare a great political victory for Obama.
If the Supreme Court decides that Obamacare is unconstitutional and throws out the entire ugly mess, the MSM will declare a great political victory for Obama.
Pretty much no matter what happens, it will be portrayed as a great political victory for Obama. The MSM has already written their narratives, they are just waiting to fill in the blanks with which way the Supreme Court decides.
Has any congressman or senator, who voted for this law, used the fact in a campaign ad, talking points, debate etc.?
That will tell you how much this is governing against the people.
FReepmail me to subscribe to or unsubscribe from the SCOTUS ping list.
I thought Nancy Pelosi already settled this, telling us not only that it would pass but what the vote would be.
BTW, what is taking the SCOTUS so long to announce their decision.
It might not be unusual for the SCOTUS to take time in cases like this. I would not worry to much about that. The decision will be coming soon I think.
Does anyone know when the Supreme Court will make their decision known?
The Scott Walker Wisconsin Recall vote and ObamaCare being rejected by the Supremes were the first two. I can't remember the third.
Maybe it was the anemic jobs report.
Obama wants civil war.He is counting on it.
