I too am buying precious metals. Brass, Lead & Copper. . .
Another worthless gubment employee who like Vice President Biden wanted a job that doesn’t require production. Need to add a picture of motorcycle cops and A State Senator.
Getting ready for the coming revolution perhaps?????
Oddly enough, I just saw that Midway USA is advertising limited quantities of .40 S&W ammo as over runs / surplus from DHS.
Ballistic inaccuracies in this article aside, I wonder if this is an effort to squeeze supply and make ammo more expensive for the rest of us. Doesn’t seem like 450MM over 5 years would do much if 10 Billion rounds a year are sold, but could choke supplies of specific calibers. DHS looking more like the Peacekeepers from Hunger Games.
Just doing the math...it seems like there must be plans for DHS to add a whole heap of operatives. Training can involve simulations, then work with 22 shorts, and then full calibre weapons. 450 million rounds of full calibre ammo is a hefty order indeed.
Bringing a .40 to a 7.62X39/.308/30-06/300 Win Mag/.338 Lapua/.50 cal fight.
That’s just .40 rounds.
DHS is also ordering 150M .223 rounds.
Enough to implement a District 13 solution.
(In The Hunger Games, 12 districts submit to total control lest they too be wiped out like District 13.)
A free country should not tolerate its guardians to arm themselves this way when it purposefully disarms its soldiers overseas for the sake of political expediency, all to cement the validity of a madman tyrant, halfrican muslim who hates this country.
These people are our enemies.
And the sweetest part of the deal is that it won’t cost the government a cent because they will charge the family for the bullet used.
Lets put 450 million bullets in perspective
In typical 50 round packaging this quantity by volume would fill about 9,500 ten wheel dump trucks, the large 15 cubic yard dump trucks you would typically see on a construction site.
If all the bullets were shipped in one delivery the line of dump trucks, patiently waiting bumper to bumper at the gate, would stretch about 52 miles.
And just to put that amount in perspective, the only stat I could find is that in the month December 2009 over a billion rounds were sold in the U.S. I’m guessing guessing then that Americans normally buy at least 450M per month, or every couple of months when it’s slow, which it sure ain’t been since Fool Sucka has been in office.
Considering most of these will go to sub guns for spray and pray this really isn’t alot of bullets.
Glad to hear this. I would hate to get shot with a USED bullet.
"But the police are on our side." Acording to the FR jackboot lickers.
correct me if I’m wrong but I thought our military used only “ball” rounds not hollow point?
450 million!
That’s a bullet and a half for every citizen.
Think of the savings if Big Sis only hired sharpshooters to quell the riots on the street.
The Democrats don’t have any problem with guns as long as they get to decide who the guns are pointed at.
