The USAs first openly gay Episcopal bishop, Gene Robinson, has responded to presidential hopeful Rick Perry's anti-gay TV promotion suggesting that "it must break God's heart to see religion used in a political campaign like this."
Bishop Robinson of the Episcopal Church showed his distaste in a TV interview with MSNBC and also by writing an opinion piece in the Washington Post newspaper.
Perry had stated in his commercial that You dont need to be in the pew every Sunday to know theres something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids cant openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school.
Bishop Robinson responded with, I think it must break Gods heart to see religion used in a political campaign like this adding There is something wrong in America, he [Perry] got that right. But its when we denigrate our brave soldiers. Those gay and lesbian people, who are risking their lives for us.

+5 for Perry.
Now gayness has to trump even religion in importance. We all warned that this was trouble.
And I commend Perry. He’s absolutely right.
Perry gets the common sense award for this. Who knows, maybe this kind of moxie, telling the truth when nobody else dares to tell it, will propel him back up in the polls.
And I commend Perry. He’s absolutely right.

and i hear you
and i hear you
and i hear you
As a former senior warden, I was devastated when the church went gay and Marxist.
You know what breaks God’s heart? When those who impersonate bishops of Jesus Christ flaunt their filthy and profligate behaviors for the world to see—and are actually proud of them.
My only problem with what Perry said was using the term "gay". They are not gay in the true meaning of the word. These depraved creatures are anything but gay -- they are miserable and twisted -- far from being joyful and happy since they are deliberately opposing Almighty God.
I'd have given a +100 to Governor Rick Perry if he had courageously called these vile beings what they really are: sodomites.
That aside, I support Perry's principled stand on this matter.
Great post!
It is obscene that this person has the title “Bishop” in front of his name. He is a disgusting person who parades and brags about his evil sin. He needs to get on his knees and repent and apologize to all rational, thinking human beings for his lies and embracing Satan. Such a sick example for children and families.
Agreed!
Bishop Robinson is the reason I left the Episcopal Church.
-5 for Gene Robinson.
