Half of ObamaCare's supposed deficit reduction comes from the Community Living Assistance Service and Supports (CLASS) Act, a long-term care benefit tacked onto the bill and scored as reducing the deficit by about $70 billion over the next decade. But that's only because the law's authors gamed the Congressional Budget Office's scoring rules. The score counted premiums collected this decade as reducing the deficit despite the fact that they'll be needed to pay out benefits later. Even worse, the premiums won't be enough to pay for all of the benefits: In the long-term, the program isn't self-sustaining, and will actually add to the federal deficit.

The Republicans should be all over this. The lie that is ObamaCare is unraveling by the day and CLASS just wiped out half of Ol Barry’s supposed ‘savings’.

Obamacare is nothing more than an attempt for Government control over our lives. It has never been sustainable that’s a joke. It is a massive unfunded liability that will make Social Security and Medicare pale in comparison. The twist has always been get people hooked on the benefits then dare Republicans to strip the benefits away..... causing riots like we are about to start seeing on wall street... All liberals have is class envy and class warfare.... hopefully enough Americans wake up to the brainwashing of the left and start rejecting Liberalism enmasse.

how can a law be suspended?
Can the laws protecting the president just be suspended as well? By whom?

Great news. But it’s all gonna come down to the decision by the SCOTUS.
I think we should win there.

We have not identified a way to make CLASS work at this time, she wrote on the Huffington Post’s website.
Sebelius said HHS will suspend implementation of the program.

Yeah, whatever. But will they cut the funding for just this part of the failure that is Obama Care?

We all know the answer to THAT!

Where does Kathleen Sebelius get the authority to suspend implementation of a law?

Sebelius said HHS will suspend implementation of the program. I'm happy to hear that Obamacare is collapsing under its own weight, but as a purely procedural matter don't understand how HHS can unilaterally suspend implementation of any legislation without congressional action. Does an agency have that type of authority?

It’s a good thing we had to pass this to know what was in it!

When somebody does that in the private sector, they get thrown in jail and protesters occupy Wall Street.

Old news? Seems to me I heard about this weeks ago.
They told more lies about the financing for this than
they are now able to cover.

The score counted premiums collected this decade as reducing the deficit despite the fact that they'll be needed to pay out benefits later. This was the Bernie Madoff clause. Another lib Ponzi Scheme which nobody got to read, including most members of Congress who couldn't read it until they passed it even though zero promised a fictional 72 hour review buffer between introduction and the vote.
