Remember how Obama recently waived new ozone regulations at the EPA because they were too costly? Well, it seems that the Obama administration is would rather make people with Asthma cough up money than let them make a surely inconsequential contribution to depleting the ozone layer:
Asthma patients who rely on over-the-counter inhalers will need to switch to prescription-only alternatives as part of the federal government's latest attempt to protect the Earth's atmosphere.
The Food and Drug Administration said Thursday patients who use the epinephrine inhalers to treat mild asthma will need to switch by Dec. 31 to other types that do not contain chlorofluorocarbons, an aerosol substance once found in a variety of spray products.
The action is part of an agreement signed by the U.S. and other nations to stop using substances that deplete the ozone layer, a region in the atmosphere that helps block harmful ultraviolet rays from the Sun.
But the switch to a greener inhaler will cost consumers more. Epinephrine inhalers are available via online retailers for around $20, whereas the alternatives, which contain the drug albuterol, range from $30 to $60.
The Atlantic's Megan McArdle, an asthma sufferer, noted a while back that when consumers are forced to deal with environmentally friendly products they're are almost always worse:

Absolute insanity. The mass of the earths atmosphere is 5000 TRILLION metric tons! And we are talking about GAS here!! It’s not 5000 trillion tons of iron, or lead, or wood but GAS.
To think, even say out loud that freakin inhalers of all things could even *touch* that amount is just absolute bat shiet lunacy. It’s the methane from cows argument all over again. Cows farting will damage the atmosphere they said.

Not to mention that they never talk about the fact that water vapor is the main culprit of global warming, not CO2 which is how the greenhouse effect was created on Venus, by WATER VAPOR, but Ass Gore can’t make money banning water so easily can he?

Wow, Obama is killing asthma sufferers, many of whom are children, old people and poor blacks. But I’m sure that the improvement to the environment will more than make up for those murders.
I think the real problem is the kids who have grown up over the last decade or so, who have had this slop drilled into their heads, and don’t know any better. Reaching them is the key. They’re just ignorant only in the sense of not knowing any better because the alternative - the truth - has not been presented to them.
The commies have been working our kids over for a long time - mainstreaming the homo/queer stuff, socialist garbage class warfare stuff, hate your country crap - it’s all they’ve heard 24/7365 because that’s what runs a lot of the schools.
Taking THAT area of education back is HUGE priority.
I agree. I just became aware of another insidious program that has our seventh to twelfth grade kids in it’s sights. It’s in our high schools across this nation right now.
It’s insidious in that it links admission to college with credits accepted at colleges based on classes taken in high school. This naturally appeals to kids.
It also introduces a logic process that causes kids to dismiss adults who know better based on Leftist presentations the kids have been exposed to.
It’s the International Baccalariot program, something intended to get the kids to think globally instead of holding loyalty to their homeland.
I’m still studying this issue, but one sample of world history had The USSR and the US being described in equal terms, if either was to be seen worse, it would be the US for demagoguery.

And it's a terrible drug with many problems. I would support making albuterol inhalers OTC - albuterol is a better and safer drug for asthmatics. It was just a matter of time before they took Primatene off the market for medical reasons, should have been done years ago.
The EPA must be scrapped for the inhalers and their role in the destruction of American industries. As to inhalers, I’ve been steadily buying them. The puny and more expensiveRx varieties just don’t work as well..
Which is why asthmatics should be on the right meds that are most likely to help them. A controller for those with frequent attacks (singulair, inhaled steroids, etc.) and albuterol or similar med for a rescue inhaler. Primatene is terrible as a rescue inhaler, since it doesn't last long, and some patients get a very dangerous rebound effect. It also is more dangerous for those with heart conditions, etc. It just isn't a good drug.
Just the over the counter epinephrine inhalers, like Primatene. I consider those very dangerous, and have seen patients almost die using them. The same patients who were helped with albuterol. A model named Krissy Taylor died shortly after using Primatene mist. If she had gone to a doctor and gotten albuterol or a similar medication, she'd likely be alive today.
Obaba maybe hoping asthma sufferers will die and thus help the environment (alive people breathing the lung-heated air causes global warming).

They always start the war in the guise of policy. What they moralize about is what they intend to violate. These are not laws, they are plain and simple coordinated assaults.
