(Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Tuesday there were a range of policy options available that could create up to a million new U.S. jobs, in remarks ahead of a major economic speech that he will deliver next week.
Obama must boost growth and bring down unemployment to be confident of winning another White House term in the November 2012 general election. Economists are skeptical he will get Congress to agree to significant new spending on jobs.
"We don't have magic bullets, but what we do have, I think, is the capacity to do some things right now that would make a big difference," Obama said in a interview with popular radio talkshow host Tom Joyner.
The White House says details of the job creation proposals Obama will unveil next week are still being worked out and it has yet to announce an exact date or location for his speech, although Obama hinted at some of the ideas he would put forth.

There is not a chance you are going to be re-elected in 2012 because you are what we call the Pretender In Chief. If you would at least understand what is called the balance of power between the three branches of government and find a way to work with Congress, then maybe you would garner respect.

Tax breaks for companies who hire someone out of work for more than X months. - It won’t work because companies don’t hire on someone because they will get a tax break, they hire because they have work for them to do.
More “green jobs” which has been a proven waste of money.
“Shovel ready” jobs, which aren’t shovel ready and is just more deficit spending.
Extension of a puny SS tax cut (from 6% down to 4%) for employees (employers still pay the 6%). Obama hoped that by letting people keep an extra $5 to $20 a week that it would stimulate the economy via Keynesian spending.
Well, if he's so good and knows exactly what to do, why isn't he adding a million, billion jobs...eh? Eh?

My brother says that would have caused inflation, but I’m not so sure. In that instance WE would have decided what to do with it.
