Tie Liberals up in knots by throwing fistfulls of bureaucratic regulations at ‘em. I’d like to meet the guy who thought of this and buy him a beer.

The article’s tone suggests the author is unhappy with this outcome.

I’m surprised this made it past the liberal judges. I was sure PP would sue and a judge would stop enforcement regardless of the merit of the suit.

Liberals set the precedent for this nonsense with their ridiculous laws on firearms so they should not complain when their own tactics are used against them.

The new law, which takes effect Friday, establishes new standards for abortion providers—standards apparently designed to make compliance difficult. The rules require changes to the size and number of rooms, compel clinics to have additional supplies on hand, and even mandate room temperatures for the facilities.

Sounds like the rules that have been required of all medical facilities for the past few years. Abortion clinics have been exempt from many of these for years because of political protection.

You mean a leftist judge hasn’t declared this unconstitutional yet?

Looks like our side has learned something from the gun-banning politicians. Death by a thousand paper cuts.

Such a great concept....outlaw murder of human beings. Wow...Kansas gets it. Slippery slope! Killing people doesn’t matter where the location.....all human beings have inalienable rights.

Another example of Right-Wing EVIL: Powerful, racist white men who deny our basic rights to SAFELY, MORALLY, HUMANELY stop things that are NOT HEARTS from beating and safely, lovingly, deposit these bits of human-looking flesh into dumpsters.

This is exciting. Babies will be saved.

Hopefully they will grow up to be productive conservatives who will vote the liberals out of power and save our county too.

They're applying to the abortion providers the same health and safety requirements that pertain to every other outpatient surgical procedure.

Even the ones that don't kill 50% of the patients.

The article is a bit misleading. As I understand it, abortion providers have been operating for decades with just a fraction of the regulations that other out patient medical facilities in KS have had to operate under. This is despite the fact that they do potentially life threatening invasive procedures on a regular basis.

This new law basically says that they now have to operate under the very same regulations that every other facility in the state that does the same class of procedures does. The only thing that these people could remotely make a case for is that the deadline didn’t realistically give them the time to come into compliance.

Personally, living in the area, and knowing how liberals behave (don’t believe the hype; Kansas is not a rock ribbed Red state by any stretch of the imagination), I think the true reason that none of the abortion mill owners seriously thought that they were going to have to follow the law. They thought the liberal judges would stop its implementation.
