Help Investigate the Palin Emails (Washington Post Recruits Palin-haters)
The Washington Post ^ | Thursday, June 9, 2011 | Ryan Kellett

Posted on 06/09/2011 10:01:42 AM PDT by kristinn

More than 24,000 e-mail messages sent to and from Sarah Palin during her tenure as Alaska's governor will be released Friday. Join The Post in digging through them. We are looking for 100 organized and dilligent readers who will work alongside Post reporters to analyze, contextualize, and research the emails. Think of it as spending some time in our newsroom.

Our hope is that working together, we can efficiently find interesting information and extract new stories that will lead to further investigation. We don’t know what we’ll find, but we want you to be ready and open for the challenge.

You will communicate with us virtually and work in small teams to make light work of reviewing the email threads. Notice the patterns. Identify recipients and senders. Connect specific emails to larger themes and events.

SNIP

Application form.

They probably hope to drive traffic to their site, earn click revenue.

24,000 emails x # of users = how many page hits?

Never has a public or private citizen be so thoroughly targeted.

The Washington Compost has updated this article for the haters:

“UPDATE: We have had a strong response to our crowdsourcing call-out on the Palin e-mails. We’ve reconsidered our approach and now would like to invite comments and annotations from any interested readers.”

"This reminds me of the AP assigning 11 of their crack reporters to quickly thumb through ‘Going Rouge’ to try and find something with which to slam Sarah Palin. Meanwhile, Barry continues to get an MSM pass."

The correct title of the book by Gov Sarah Palin is:

GOING ROGUE

Typos do matter here. Going rouge is the book that slams Gov Palin. No need to research it. I have not read it nor do I intend to.

Nothing like conducting a witch hunt is there? Are they also going to pull all the other potential candidates emails? What about Bozo, what about his emails when he was a Senator, both state and fed?

These clowns are going to find nothing but they will take every little message and try to make something of it.

If Palin is no threat why are they running scared enough to pull this sh**?

Wow. They really ARE afraid of her, aren’t they.

It’s stuff like this that makes me think — we really need to nominate her as our GOP candidate. We really do.

She’s the one. They’re just about desperate, it seems, to take her down. Why for???

The funny thing is that the emails are/will be public, and the universe will do freely what the Post is trying to control. And it will do it faster and more effectively.

True but the Washington Post is deperate to remain relevant and wants the universe to report to them in some sort of chain of command operation. :-)

Considering the restrictions placed on individual and corporate funding of political information via the esteemed campaign finance reform bill, perhaps it’s time for a conservative in the House of Representatives to question the efficacy of the First Amendment as it pertains to unlimited, partisan bloviating by the press.

I’m just sayin’.

>Gee. And I thought the State-Run Media looked down upon “citizen journalism.”< That was my first thought!

Don’t they realize that when people hear about this, they’ll crawl over broken glass to vote for Sarah Palin to throw it back in their faces if nothing else...

I hope and pray she wins especially after all the crap she and her family have had to endure.

This only proves how pathetic and worthless MSM really is.

I think this is great.......let them spend their time and energy on her, diverting them away from any of the candidates who might get the nomination!
