I know I’m going to garner a lot of bitter reactions, but I just have to question this devotion to Sarah Palin as our candidate for 2012. Am I the only one that thinks conservatives are falling into the whole cult of personality with regard to Sarah Palin much the same way the Left did with Obama? I’m not comfortable with her just bailing on Alaska, she’s the one that allowed Levi Johnston to knock up her daughter, and I don’t want a reality TV. candidate - I want a serious conservative thinker with the stomach for policy. I’d much rather have Michele Bachmann or Herman Cain. Anyhow, that’s just my opinion. Let the hate begin..

I get your point and your concerns but your method of positing your thesis is ham-handed, to say the least. Rather than knocking down a particular candidate or potential candidate, how about telling us how the alternative you prefer would be a better choice? I like both Cain and Bachman, too, but I don’t feel the need to just blindly knock the alternatives without explaining real reasons.

I like Palin, and I’ll be fine if she’s the GOP nominee, but I also question the unfailing devotion.

We complain about the “Messiah” complex ...and here we’re doing it ourselves. I think it needs to stop and she and her followers need to be open to more constructive criticism.

Let me inform you that I’m not on the wrong forum because I disagree with the queen. You don’t even bother asking me about positions on issues, my post at FR, but just because I’d rather see Bachmann run and don’t like a Palin candidacy for 2012...I’m on the wrong forum...sheesh...you’re just being pompous.
Bachmann has zero executive experience and Cain has never won an election, let alone served as a pol.
Palin has done both handily, is proven to have taken all the punches the media can land, has national recognition, and draws crowds like nobody the GOP has had—perhaps ever.
