I think that FR needs to really get ahead of this election in order to help make a difference: The state chapters have to be FAR more active in the primaries and caucuses than the last election where it seemed that FR woke up one spring day and said "John McCain is our candidate? Don't we loathe him?".
This sort of organizing should be taking place now, even if we need to hire experienced talent in this. I have to wonder if the energy and money for this is really there.
