(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.
The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.
The Booth certificate says:
“This certifies that the above is a true and correct copy of the original record on file in the Bureau of Health Statistics, Territory of Hawaii Department of Health”
Signature not legible
Deputy Registrar General Date 12-14-50
Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth released today says
“I certify this is a true or abstract copy of txe Record on file in the Hawaii State Department of Health”

I wonder when the stamp was changed to “ABSTRACT” from “CORRECT” and why this one wasn't certified with a raised seal.(Also the "the" is misspelled to "txe" in the stamp, which is strange)
“Abstract” may be a very recent change. This may be why the Hawaiian Department of Health says the long form is no longer available.
I'm going to assume Obama’s is an “ABSTRACT” since the long form is no longer available.
Man that is scary, scary scary.
I am not computer whiz at all, I don’t know how that shows up from something that is from computer screen.

Question: Assuming the pages all came from the same stack, and assuming the 61 numbers were printed on the pages, why does thd number 6 not align identically unter the small print “state department above the numbers?
Of course, I am gullible to your post also, it could be something yo just made up. I don’t know you from adam, but i think what you are posting is real. thanks

In my original reply, I wrote:

I was being sarcastic, since many birthers dumped all legal rulings and started claiming - in 2008 - that someone with an alien parent could not become President.
I then posted a link to a well thought out legal decision, made in 1844 concerning inheriting property, that explained in detail WHY a natural born citizen of the US can have zero, one, or two citizen parents.
“Notes from the constitutional debates show that the delegates understood the meaning of Natural Born Citizen to be a person with two parents who are/were U. S. citizens.”
Which would make sense. Giving families at least one generation to live her and understand the ideals of the country. That is why you have to study U. S. history to become a naturalized citizen.

I think you can count on the fact that if there was a "real, original" document, it has since been destroyed.
This whole excercise took place because Trump started to bring up the academic records - Barry now has the excuse to say "You see, it doesn't matter if I release the records - these people will never be satisfied. So I'm not going to waste time releasing any more records."

I wouldn’t know how to make that up. I just clicked on the White House-released COLB (the whole screen “grayed out”), right-clicked to “copy”, and pasted it into a WORD document. Others with much more knowledge have already posted about the various “layers” in the digital document.

So, if they laid it on a copier? How come the rest of the document, even to the left of the rounded edge (from the binding) is so seamless and of the same background as the paper the document is printed on. Last time I looked, the backstops on copiers are white backgrounds.

I AM NOT A BIRTHER! But this one is too interesting to ignore. Upon hearing all the fuss about the newly released Certificate of Live Birth, I decided to open it up in Adobe Illustrator and see just what we were given by the White House. Judge for yourself but looks to be composed by multiple elements.

The mother's name is always the mother's maiden name. The signature is just the legal signature. It is not a contract.
Mine has my mother's maiden name, but she signed it "Mrs. James C. Smith" [I changed my actual father's name].
