The combination of rising gasoline prices and the steepest increase in the cost of food in a generation is threatening to push the US economy into a recession, according to Craig Johnson, president of Customer Growth Partners.

As far as food goes, just an example, it pays to shop.
I buy (and put in storage) those Knorr side-dish packets. I usually (actually, always) buy them at a big, low price distributor here in the PNW. 88 cents a shot.
They are $1.79 at the closest supermarket.
I’m itchin to go back down the hill and pick up another case or three!
Thank you for this info.
“But New Hampshires governor (guess the party) opposes the cut.”
However, I think the GOP can override Lynchie’s veto.
I'm impressed with the moves the NH GOP has been making.
OH YEAH?!?!
I had to switch to store brand vodka!
Aren’t you glad you went on your vacation to SE Asia?/s
It breaks my heart when I get together with my Korean War buddies and hear them say things like “I fought for this?”
With the rising prices I support the abolition of all gas taxes.

Most vets are beyond pissed off.
Amen!
No ques!!!
I'm not a vet and I'm beyond PO'ed. By a long shot. This government, for AT LEAST the last 2 years, has been doing the exact opposite of what is prudent for the economic conditions. One cannot help but see that it is a deliberate attempt to destroy this country.
Yes, it’s deliberate. New World Order-One World Government.
BTW-I’ve got the same sricker in my rear window.
GUBO!!!

For example, the headline of this article doesn't say that we're approaching a "tipping point", it says that we're at a "tipping point". In other words, we've "tipped". How many times can one be at a "tipping point"? Logic and the English language suggest once. Yet that appears to not be the case.
Moreover, how long can you be said to be approaching a "tipping point"? Is that like saying that I cannot walk across the room because I must first walk halfway across, and then walk half the remaining distance, and then half of that distance, and so on; such that I never get there?
I guess I'd just prefer a more accurate phrase to describe our impending doom.
“I guess I’d just prefer a more accurate phrase to describe our impending doom. “
How about:
“Thanks to the hard work of Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the Democrat party who went unchecked by a chickencrap Republican party...we are screwed.”
Is that accurate enough?
LOL, that would sum it up nicely. Be hard to fit it in the space for a Headline, but I think I’d prefer it.
What are the Knorr packets? Mix-ins? TV dinners? Thanks.
With the criminal enterprise party holding the Senate and Oval Office, look for them to raise gas taxes since decreasing use lowers the rake off the federales get. Democrats rare the enemy of The Republic, the We The People Republic.
Google
Knorr Sides
Small packs, makes about 2 servings, cup and a half of water brought to a boil.
I like the Chicken ones and the Teriyaki noodle ones.
And they come in these sealed Mylar plastic thingies that means they will last almost forever.
Thanks. Got to their site, but wasn’t exactly sure to which ones you were referring.
