TO FREEPERS EVERYWHERE!
PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING YOUR FREE REPUBLIC STATE FORUM!
Action at the local and state level is so important and is our way to get active in our states.
^^^
You are so right. We must get involved.
I know, me too. So I just keep my link to our Florida FR Forum right under my link to the FR Main Board.
I'm not getting the paranoia thing.
What are folks supposed to be scared of? Your license plate is
visible to everyone, your address is in the phone book. The horror!
Worrying about narrowing your location down to a single state is idiotic.
Probably 40 folks here on FR know exactly where I live.
20 of those know which drawer the forks are in.
8 of those know where most of the tactical gun stashes are.
I'm NOT telling where TheMom's Christmasy plates are stashed 'cause I'm keeping 'em.
You’re going to be the first one rounded up when our “Egypt” begins ...
It certainly is possible.
It would prove to be costly however.
Perhaps even cost prohibitive.
The fear is not from molestation by bad guys, the fear is of neighbors who might learn they are FReepers.
The fear is of neighbor induced shame
I was trying to register under the State of Chaos.
Well, considering what one “anonymity” freak sent me in FReepmail, I’d make a wild bet on plain ol’ cowardice, myself.
People who fear being “known” are usually up to something they don’t want other people to know about.
Fact is, here on FR only Jim and the mods have any clue as to your general whereabouts and I trust them not to rat me out.
The rest of this garbage is just paranoid fear mongering.
I will not live my life cringing in some closet with the hand-wringers.
As far as my neighbors go, they’re gonnna be the ones who’ve got my back *if* TSHTF.
Some FReepers have blank profile pages.
Fine...to each his own.
But, AFAIC, I’d never truly trust them.
If somebody’s afraid to tell people who they are, IMO, they’ve probably got a good reason not to.
YMMV.
Our favorite loon is chiming in.
Bless you for your work being over there. Here is the link.
It’s a joke.
For $20, you can sign up for a “detective” site and find out everything about someone, including their address, phone number, income, property value, taxes, criminal records, marriages/divorces and everyone they’re related to [and all their info too] so “anonymity” is a dead horse, now.
~Everybody~ is “on record” -somewhere-.
Trying to jealously guard something that no longer even -exists- is utterly risible.
Total waste of time.
You got spam in your FReepmail box or am I misunderstanding you?
Just whistling Shibumi over for that one.
He can use the laugh.
:)
“The fear is of neighbor induced shame”
Are you serious?
My neighbors are all just like me but even if they weren’t, ask me if I give a damn what they think.
I’m too tired and confused to laugh.
I’m just sort of doing little Renfield “Hee-heh-hee-heh...” things under my breath.
Pretty much the same here.
In fact, I'd even say some of them ain't as sophisticated as I am.
Which means exactly what it implies. ;-)
Just as long as you’re enjoying yourself.
[but don’t eat any flies...you don’t know where they’ve been]
;]
Yes, the thought doesn’t apply to you or others that proudly list their sate on their profile page.
A good aim is better.
Okey-dokey.
