Suggests controversy could hurt president's re-election chances

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.
Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012.
Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper asked Abercrombie: "You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How is that coming?"
In his response, Abercrombie acknowledged the birth certificate issue will have "political implications" for the next presidential election "that we simply cannot have."
Suggesting he was still intent on producing more birth records on Obama from the Hawaii Department of Health vital records vault, Abercrombie told the newspaper there was a recording of the Obama birth in the state archives that he wants to make public.
Abercrombie did not report to the newspaper that he or the Hawaii Department of Health had found Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate. The governor only suggested his investigations to date had identified an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives.
"It was actually written, I am told, this is what our investigation is showing, it actually exists in the archives, written down," Abercrombie said.
For seemingly the first time, Abercrombie frankly acknowledge that presidential politics motivated his search for Obama birth records, implying that failure to resolve the questions that remain unanswered

Wait...but I thought the keeper of Hawaii’s vital records (forgot her name) stated, as recently as 2009, that she had seen Obama’s long-form BC with her very own eyes.
Did she loose it that quickly?

I thought this guy was going to expose the “birthers” as nutjobs by publishing the true BC, and put the issue to rest for once and for all.

Sounds like they may have backed off from trying to win the next election to protecting the one that’s already been usurped.
This story has the makings of a Biblical upheaval...
But, it also smells like a timing thing scheduled for reveal closer to Nov, 2012. A good forgery is so simple to do.
This is bad news for Obummer. Their backs are against the wall now. If they cant produce the original BC then many more people in this country are going to question the legitimacy of his first term. Grab the popcorn boys and girls.
If in fact the record cannot be found and Dear Leader does run in 2012, but would be ineligible, then expect some crisis during which he will declare elections postponed until some future date... and thereby assume dictitorial powers for life...

My favorite birth certificate news from yesterday was the Court Decision declaring that the NY Board of Elections committed fraud by certifying a British citizen (Obama) as the US presidential canditate in the 2008 election. The court also said that it was not the NY court’s responsibility to remove Obama; that would be the responsibility of Federal authorities.

I have never heard of someone not able to produce a birth certificate. Just what game is being played here?
Any freepers with a literary bent want to write a script for the new Hawaii 5-0 based on this? Could be interesting.
