She did indeed: The director of Hawaii’s Department of Health, Chiyome Fukino, stated: “Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaii, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.”

1. Thus, either Fukino lied back in 2008; or
2. Abercrombie is lying now; or
3. Hawaii had the long form BC in 2008, but since has lost it.
Any one of these possibilities raises SERIOUS questions about the credibility of Hawaii’s elected officials and/or bureaucrats, especially in light of questions about the provenance and/or authenticity of the COLB(s) posted on-line at the behest of the Obama campaign. It’s a shame the MSM isn’t holding Abercrombie’s feet to the fire on this: maybe a House investigation of the matter is in order.
