I have had it! Nullification is the answer. I am planting my garden no matter what some bureaucrat says.
Now I remember why I gave up on politics. The people on our side aren’t really on our side.
I am going to plant a garden and grow my food just to be contrary! I absolutely hate government telling me what I can’t do. They are making criminals of us all.

This is a very significant vote.
The corporate sponsors of the food bill now control all 100 members of the US Senate. Unanimous means all of them, including Jim DeMint.
Talk about needing to elect more conservatives ignores the apparent reality that representative government has almost totally broken down in the USA. The Senate now appears to primarily represent the interests of multinational corporations, not the states or citizens of the USA.
I thought so, but do you think there could be constraints on passing a law like that? It seems fair to me. It would apply to both sides.

very passive, unconcerned and completely
disinterested staffer .. could’ve cared less.
Wanted to know which pubbies voted for this,

It was unanimous consent so we’ll never know. All we know is they all caved, however they felt about it originally.
This is hideous! I don’t know what would have to be done to make lame duck sessions of congress unconstitutional, but we are going to be forced to live with the consequences of the 111th’s departing shots for a very long time. They are exacting their revenge towards a large swath of American voters who recognize government tyranny, and are finally active in their efforts to put an end to it.
After 20% of the GOP caucus voted to homosexualize the military, I threw in the towel. I’m no longer a member of that party.
Because the Gelding Old Party just quit fighting. Just like they will on the START vote.

The House last night said they had a scheduled
session today at 12:30.
Now, it’s been changed to say no schedule for today,
and tomorrow the session begins at 10:00 am.

As a youth I worked in groceries. If we had a large quantity of bread that was about to reach its expiration date, we froze it to avoid the loss. Maybe that's what your grocer is doing.
How is a “voice vote” constitutional? Isn’t everything they do supposed to be in the Congressional Record?

First gather people of like mind, leave politics out of it. Find people of all parties, use the words and emotions of our founders, send emissaries to the “foreign govt” occupying our lands. Ask, cajole and beg for relief, plan for the worst case scenario at the same time. Next, demand relief, grab control of a major party. Third, abrogate all treaties with any and all parties. Reconstitute the govt under the original Constitution, with the first ten amendments. Define it so that there is no possible way to have slaves, or females not having the exact same rights as all. I can see no other need for any amendments at this time. Any or all of the above is needed, until then we are in “occupied America”. God Bless this land, and the patriots living in it.
