Very much in command of the facts, quick, firm and clear.
A bit less folksy, yakkity blather and more to the point with a more 'serious' demeanor. Which is good.
If I could give one word of advice to this talented and quick-minded woman, I would tell her to rachet down the bubbly quotient slightly.
She needs to be perceived as serious.... blending with her natural accessibility and warm personality.
She needs to occasionally set her jaw in conviction without breaking into the girly smile and deliver her obviously deeply held positions with authority.
She's got the content down 110%, if she'd just add more seriousness to her delivery...the trick is, such seriousness can't be contrived and should not replace her natural ebullience, wholesale--she needs to retain her authenticity--but a serious tone should be an additive feature, unflappable and strategically deployed.
No holier than thou stuff going on with me.
I posted in good faith...I am genuinely concerned that she cannot gain far-reaching traction if she does not add more authority to her delivery.
Biggest negative... “TINA FEY”.
Whereas I understand your point, and agree with the pragmatism behind your premise, I am really sick of people mistaking form for substance (I don't mean you, I just mean in general). I would much rather have a high power CPU hooked up to an average printer, than to have a less advanced CPU hooked up to a high-end printer. The smartest people I've known in life were not necessarily the most polished, and most have the ability to not take themselves too seriously. The fact that our nation has become obsessed with form over substance is why, without proper vetting, Obama got elected. Eloquence does not equal aptitude. I doubt there is much of a correlation at all.
Wait until she declares she is running for President and is dragging her kids along the campaign trail with her, then you may have a point and we'll talk.
I guess you've been on an island for the past year and a half? You think the MSM hasn't used them and defiled them before this?
Meh.
Just kidding. Really, I was just kidding. No seriously, I couldn't have been kidding any more if I tried. LOL
She needs to study the Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher. What a leader she was!
Not in and of itself. It does, however, speak to something that is critical to the limited government movement. Strength.
Add that to intelligence and the fact that she has the ability to connect with regular people (as opposed to self described intellectuals) and you’ve got a winner.
Excellent and fair assessment, and fortunately, her heretofore shrill delivery has diminished considerably. Both my wife and I read her book and read the text of her interviews. We love her Conservative Reaganesque politics and her love of America, but my wife will not listen to her speak.
Be careful not to change what makes her so special. I just think she should be herself. When people get to know the real her, they will see past the MSM fake stereotype of her.
if she runs a good campaign, she can be our President in two years.
“A bit less folksy, yakkity blather and more to the point with a more ‘serious’ demeanor. Which is good. “
I couldn’t put my finger on it, but you have nailed it!
It would also be helpful if she kept her voice on a
more even tone. When she’s on a roll, she’ll get that “Hillary shriek” thing goin on.
I am a Palin fan because she IS a Reagan Conservative.
Agree.
I despise Tina Fey. A two-bit entertainer, petty, snarky, all-round snide and wholly unattractive jackass. All puffed up in her little fleeting fame world of destroying the aspirations of a good and decent human being.
She represents everything I hate about today’s clueless ultra”hip” entertainers.
Gawd, the little mouse makes me ill.
Yeah, they voted him off when he couldn't correctly identify what was a reality show and what wasn't. The tribal council doesn't take that kind of thing lightly.
Agree. She needs to retain her authenticity but add more authority.
Nah, no relations. I wouldn’t beat around the bush like that. No matter how she answers the Hannity softballs - stern jaw, scowl, or typical deer in the headlights smile - she’d be a bad choice for our nominee.
If she is talking about her family she is on defense and not offense.
She needs to just tell reporters her family is off limits.
.
Agreed. She's got the wholesome family shtick covered with her Alaskan TV series.
my goodness, you are NOT a Palin fan. those of us that are stay loyal to her
homecoming queen ?
B.S.
Thats sexist and rather low.
