Order Blocks Oklahoma Constitutional Amendment

A temporary restraining order has been issued to block a state constitutional amendment that prohibits state courts from considering international or Islamic law when deciding cases. U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange handed down the ruling this morning in Oklahoma City following a brief hearing.

In order to issue a TRO the judge must find that it’s more likely than not the movant will prevail on the merits of the case.

Doesn't the moving party also have to prove it will suffer "irreparable harm" without the TRO?

Absolutely right. Given demographic realities, the greatest irony of all is that the shift to Islamic will take place because while Muslims continue to have babies,= liberal women continue to abort theirs. Sharia law will be ushered in by feminists—those whose personal freedom will be most negatively impacted.

I heard a news story on KTOK at the top of the hour. They reported that the primary reason that the judge issued the order was that the State Election Board did not file a brief. I have called the State Election Board, and spoken with the agency head. He initially did not answer my question of whether the reported story was true. He told me that the AG’s office represented them (I guess he thinks I am stupid). After telling him he didn’t answer my question, I asked him again if it were true, and he referred me to the AG’s office. When I asked for a specific name, he said that he didn’t know who was at court, but that Jane Pressler represented them. I have a call in to Ms. Pressler.

Oh, by the way, Paul Ziriax (the director) is a democrat appointee. The outgoing AG is a democrat.

I will talk with the incoming Ag later this week. This is now a new agenda item.

So follow Limbaugh’s example and illustrate the absurdity: file an amicus brief in a death penalty using Sharia law to blunt the cries of cruel and unusual. Next challenge a liberal commentator in every discussion and ask them why the so-called “separation” clause of the First Amendment would not apply. See if they are willing to give equal weight to Canon Law of the Catholic Church.

Stephen Breyer conducted a lengthy symposium on the subject that was televisesd on either CSPAN or PBS, can’t remember which but he was joined by Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruthe Bader Ginsburg. Just goes to show our elected judges have done as much if not way more damage than this WH administaration however Obama just elected two radicals to the Supreme Court so we'll be seeing some real nasty stuff via the courts for decades to come. A judge is supposed to go by the constitution.

Now how can a judge put this order in.

The constitution is the law not sharia.

Is this judge able to be replaced by the voters like here in FL.
