Wearing an American flag shirt and playing patriotic songs, Jon Stewart sounded like a voice of reason at his Restore Sanity rally. Pointing at the U.S. Capitol, he thundered that the politicians, as well as liberal and conservative voices on cable TV, were polarizing the country and driving us into conflict and controversy. But in the end, he couldnt shake his television persona. The serious side of Jon Stewart was a bust.
It was difficult for Stewart to accuse others of dividing the nation when his recent TV guest, President Obama, had called on Latinos to defeat his political enemies. Stewart said, We can have animus and not be enemies, oblivious to the reckless political verbiage that the President had used. Obama had engaged in what the liberals used to call Nixonian tactics, identifying enemies and seeking their political destruction.

We live in hard times, not end times, Stewart said, as if he understands the gravity of the situation and others dont. This remark, clearly directed at religious people who believe America is at a crossroads and that Gods help is required to save the country from a combination of secular and spiritual forces, demonstrated Stewarts commitment to politics as usual. It was as if he were saying, Give Obama a chance. Just give the President and the Democrats two more years.
That was the clear sentiment of many in the audience.
Playing to this mostly liberal audience, Stewart attacked those claiming that Marxists [are] actively subverting our constitution, as if Marxism is too harsh a term to use to describe a President tutored by a member of the Communist Party USA who has pursued socialist-style policies during...

Please volunteer for a key, local Tea Party candidate (and poll watch) through Tuesday.
It’s difficult to restore something liberals have never experienced.
What’s so laughable is the same people who gave us Alan Grayson and Anthony Weiner are attempting to define “sanity”
Oh this is just too rich LOL
News is reporting that there were 200,000 people there!

Are there any pictures of the aftermath destruction yet?
Don’t worry yourself, little Johnny. The adults are in the process of taking America back from you and your sweaty little buddies. Go take a shower and get your homework done. Leave the thinking to those who have the capacity to do it.
So if they are neat communists they are OK ?
One way to get rid of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert - do not warch their shows. I utilize the TV Guide through the cable provider - I decide to watch decent stuff. Basically not much there Comedy Central is one channel I overlook. Can you image idiots whom believe the only news that is any good is the Comedy Central News. Huh that is news.
Absolutely NOT just need a good laugh if possible.
Go back to Woodstock, Stewart & Colbert & Stevens/’Islam’
Peace, love, dope, meth. All is well in the commune when everyone’s a millionaire.
That clownfest was nothing more than PR marketing for both Colbert/Stewart! Leftist socialists bashing capitalism while using it to their advantage—just like Michael Moore and Hollyweird do it!
"Some felt let down that Stewart and Colbert did not deliver a specific call to action."
Huh? Looking for a call to action from a couple of comics?
If you can’t get blacks to show up at a democratic function in CHOCOLATE CITY, does that mean, the dems are racist or just that they are good whites.
Plus they had Cat Stevens who supported the fatwah against Salmun Rushnie on stage. What would happen if Palin supported murder against a moslum author?
How true. And that other clown, the self-promoting, book-shill Bill O'Reilly, will continue to promote Colbert and Stewart PLUS those ugly, vulgar, marxist hags on The View, Whoopie and Behar, to feed his own arrogant ego.
He's using the Factor and his creepy appearances on THEIR shows to boost their ratings along with his own.
What an amoral, disgusting opportunist.
He really thinks he's an accomplished comedian, himself.

Hard times require hard work. Did you see anyone at
Jon’s Rally offering to work harder for less? (Boxer’s?)
The truth is this country was lost when the Ten Commandments were removed from the public square. Society has nothing to tether itself to except man whims of the day. (And the whims are only limited by man’s imagination)
I appreciate Beck’s attempt to ‘Restore Honor’ but it’s much too late.
Moral relativitism rules! The ‘rule of law’ will never be restored. We operate on: Everyone’s doing it!
Friend’s ‘Gone Galt’ two years now, no one’s come to pick up the slack!

But in the end, he couldn't shake his television persona. The "serious" side of Jon Stewart was a bust.Since Jon Stewart is never funny, and is always carrying water for his fellow Demwits and fellow liberal nitwits, calling him out regarding his serious side bust is superfluous. His hypocrisy is just made clear and obvious by his words, and even clearer later (see below).
It was difficult for Stewart to accuse others of dividing the nation when his recent TV guest, President Obama, had called on Latinos to defeat his "political enemies." Stewart said, "We can have animus and not be enemies," oblivious to the reckless political verbiage that the President had used.
Obama had engaged in what the liberals used to call "Nixonian" tactics, identifying "enemies" and seeking their political destruction.Stewart was just giving his Golden Boy a bully pulpit -- in the sense of bullying people.
..."We live in hard times, not end times," Stewart said......an obvious excoriation of Christianity in general, although it is my sincere hope that jihadists take his words as a personal insult and off his ass.
...clearly directed at religious people who believe America is at a crossroads and that God's help is required to save the country from a combination of secular and spiritual forces, demonstrated Stewart's commitment to politics as usual. It was as if he were saying, "Give Obama a chance. Just give the President and the Democrats two more years."As if? He is saying that. That's all he has been saying, year after year, on his partisan shilling show.
