“It’s too late; it’ll just have to be stopped in the Senate,” Tom, the young male answering the phone in U.S. Rep. John Boehner’s (R-Ohio)Washington D.C. office, said about HR 3534 (CLEAR Act). This is the globalist bill designed to give away our land, oceans, adjacent land masses and Great Lakes to an international body, and makes us pay $900 million per year until 2040.
HR 3534 is a thinly disguised permanent roadblock to American energy which drives American companies out of the Gulf, delays future drilling, increases dependency on foreign oil, implements climate change legislation and youth education programs; but most important, it mandates membership in the Law of the Sea Treaty without the required two-thirds vote to ratify it in the U.S. Senate.
The House passed the CLEAR Act (HR 3534) 209-193, July 30, 2010. This bill was originally introduced July 8, 2009, but was resurrected by the recent Deep Water Horizon oil spill crisis. According to www.govtrack.us, a debate may be taking place on a companion bill in the Senate, rather than on this particular bill. This bill was read for the second time Aug. 4, 2010, and placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar under General Orders, Calendar No. 510. No official Senate Bill number exists as of yet.

OK, the UN isn't mentioned anywhere in it. How's that for a start?
We are the militia. We are sitting on our hands, while our treasure and our very means of existing are being taken from us. And we tell ourselves that soon a Republican (or a wave of them) will come and save us; will turn back the clock, resetting America to a free economy and some basic fear of the Lord.
People under siege always holler that the enemy has come for their guns. But the enemy comes for our spirits.
And they come for the minds of our children; and for our food and water, after which our spirits are somewhat easier pickings.
So I don't scan the hill, looking for the cavalry here.
This is from the website FamilySecurityMatters.org, and is in line with what I know about the treaty:
By asserting UN authority over seven-tenths of the Earth's surface, LOST would be the largest territorial conquest in history.
In principle, the treaty would assert UN jurisdiction over U.S. territorial waters, and eventually over waterways within our country.
It would create a huge bureaucratic entity called the "Enterprise," which would regulate and tax all commercial uses of the high seas.
By taxing all efforts to develop the wealth of the seabed, the UN would be given a huge revenue stream, independent of national governments to push its agenda for international socialism.
The treaty would require the redistribution of cutting-edge technology from the U.S. to all governments in the "developing world," including extremely repressive governments.
This is not out of line with what I know about the treaty. We need to find out how this HR3534 will dovetail with the LOST treaty, because we know ALL liberals and many Republicans have a hard-on for that treaty.

The Interim Report states that the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force includes adherence to the Law of the Sea Treaty (page 14). Its purpose is to establish a comprehensive set of rules governing the oceans. The Law of the Sea Treaty calls for technology transfers and wealth transfers from developed to undeveloped nations, and requires parties to the treaty to adopt regulations and laws to control pollution of the marine environment – all under the authority of the United Nations. Such provisions were among the reasons President Ronald Reagan rejected the treaty in 1982. As Edwin Meese, U.S. Attorney General under President Reagan explained recently, “…it was out of step with the concepts of economic liberty and free enterprise that Ronald Reagan was to inspire throughout the world.”

Their definition of peace is and always has been - “the Absence of Opposition to Our Goals” - meaning any and all who subscribe to that pig ideology are in a perpetual state of war with everyone who disagrees with them.

Well, the burden of proof usually is contingent on those making the claims. I wouldn’t put it past this bunch to try this, but I would like to see some documentation for the claim before running with it.
If you are citing that a treaty can trump the Constitution of the United States, you are wrong.
The bolded area speaks specifically of the Constitution being the law of the land and that laws and treaties made must be made under that law.
To make a treaty that sits outside the Constitution would be in violation of the Constitution.
Also, the next line "and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding" speaks only about state laws and constitutions, not the Constitution, itself.
After the filibuster and Republicans take over the house in November, the House needs to recall the Bill so that it never reaches the Senate.
And to be clear, I have completely surrendered the hope that the Senate was going to be a calming voice on this type of thing (as it was designed by the founders to be)
When the Senate allows McCain-Feingold CFR, and particularly Obamacare, they can never again be trusted. And there is no executive veto pen to stop this. As the article at IntelHub states (and admittedly, I don’t know THEM any better than I know who and what the President is) this should have NEVER NEVER NEVER gotten to the Senate. Never. Republicans should have turned out to block it, because we had the votes to do it.

The Constitution is no protection anymore. The Constitution has been shredded in many areas, and nobody has stepped up to invoke it. Ever.
