Documents show media plotting to kill stories about Rev. Jeremiah Wright [Journolist]
The Daily Caller ^ | July 20, 2010 | Jonathon Strong

Posted on 07/19/2010 11:32:30 PM PDT by MitchellC

It was the moment of greatest peril for then-Sen. Barack Obama’s political career. In the heat of the presidential campaign, videos surfaced of Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, angrily denouncing whites, the U.S. government and America itself. Obama had once bragged of his closeness to Wright. Now the black nationalist preacher’s rhetoric was threatening to torpedo Obama’s campaign.

The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?”

Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.”

Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

Remember that dinner that Obama attended with those radicals? And I believe it was the LA Times had a video for in 2008 but wouldn’t release? And we flooded their phones and faxes...

I can’t remember the story or newspaper now...can’t remember the name of the main radical that we tried to pin with Obama either...someone help me, my brain is foggy...

The MSM and the left are everything we’ve ever accused them of being. They are traitors to their nation, and want to undo our 236 years of American tradition and history from top to bottom.

They are the dregs of humanity. They aren’t fit to live within the same borders as patriotic Americans, and should be cast out from among us, just as soon as we can make it happen.

Every day, it becomes clearer and clearer that we are moving toward a showdown in this country. The present trajectories of left and right will intersect in a collision at some point. It’s coming.

Interesting from the Washington Examiner:

Does Andrew Breitbart have Journolist?

By: Mark Hemingway

In the wake of Dave Weigel's resignation from the Washington Post over leaked emails from Journolist, a list serv for influential liberal journalists, Andrew Breitbart made some headlines by offering $100,000 for the Journolist archives. Well, he just sent out this cryptic tweet:

Whereby I formally rescind my $100k Journolist reward & wish Spencer Ackerman the very best in whatever profession he now chooses to enter.

There is more at the link, plus you might want to look at some of the posts Here

This Journolist thing is intriguing.

Does this mean that the Daily Caller now has the Journolist posts for which Andrew Breitbart offered $100K?

If so...

...friends at Media Matters... What a joke. I took a shower already to get the scum off after a trip to DU about the NAACP dinner video but may need another if I head to MM. What astounds me about MM, other than their lack of information as to the content justifying their headlines, is the lack of comments posted. Do they really think that their regular 11 commentmakers have any valid opinions or thoughts? Are their only posters Keith, Rachael, Mika, Andrea, Dylan, Chris, Chris again, Joe, Tamra, Ezra and Ed?

Really? A showdown? From who? The lazy Americans who can’t even get off their butt long enough to carry a protest sign? Let alone start a revolution.

HA - give me a break. It is over. Turn the lights out. If you can get a few freepers to post their anger on a blog site made for the hard right then you are doing more than 90% of America will ever do.

Give it up - there is not going to be a so called showdown - there is not going to be any revolution. Fat, lazy Americans could care less.

The gimme gimme gimme generation is here to stay. Our America that we once knew and were once so proud of - gone. Gone.

Prove me wrong - I have said it before - prove me wrong. Nothing is going to change.

Welcome to your new America

Obama and Khalidi party down: A Muslim party wouldn’t be complete without the requisite amount of Jew bashing.

That's right, they are not journalists, and traduce the publics 1st amendment rights of free speech.

As far as I am concerned , this is Joseph Goebbels stuff, and these sick little progenitors of propaganda on behalf of the Obama fascist Junta, are no better than those in Europe who got away with the same crap, lulling a German populace into inhumane somnolence. I detest these little Goebbels Obama supporting journalists with every fiber of my being. They, more than anyone have brought America to its knees. They would be "kingmakers" and have brought nationalist socialism to America, unleashing the fascist genie on a people now unaccustomed to that vigilance which preserves freedom and liberty. Before this is over many of them may die because of it, if history repeats itself.

They all should be lined up and summarily tarred and feathered for the crap they produce as "news."

America now awakens, and the wrath of the people will be terrible to behold.

Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

I've always known in my heart that this is the way that the MFM operates, but still...to see it documented in print is breathtaking. If we had a truly free press, this should be a top story. Above nearly all ills that bedevil this country, the Media/Government Complex is probably the largest contributor to the socialist rot which has set in. I have trouble even finding words to describe it; the rot and corruption is so bad.

We’ve got to find out where the new JournoList is and have to infiltrate it and expose it. At the very least, I hope some money grubbing media whore will sell out his brothers for Breitbart’s $100K so we can see the old list in its full glory.
