Okay, I just got off the phone with a lawyer for DailyKos, and he gave me a bunch of interesting new detail about the lawsuit Kos is going to file against the polling outfit Research 2000.
The gist: This is likely to be a serious lawsuit that is going to flush a lot out into the open, and prompt a serious discussion about what news orgs should be doing to vet polling data they commission.
In case you missed it, DailyKos founder Markos Moulitsas today revealed that he was preparing to sue Research 2000, which Kos has commissioned polling from for years. Kos said a trio of statistics experts dug into their polling and concluded that much of the polling "we ran the past year and a half was likely bunk."

LOL
Don’t buy KOS version of the story! Research 2k are reputable pollsters who give good data to KOS. Its KOS who modify the numbers
I see two possibilities:
1) The KOS kids couldn’t pay their bills to R2000 so now they are going to claim fraud as an excuse for not paying.
2) The KOS Kids and R2000 got into a spat and the KOS Kids are out front in a PR battle to smear the pollster’s reputation and damage their future income.
It’s also possible both are true but I seriously doubt it is the methodology that is suddenly coming under question, not when outliers have been out there for years and the media never bats an eye over them and often treat them as gospel when they support the Left’s agenda whether they have any accuracy or not.
My theory is, R2K is a fly-by-night polling firm, KOS got duped, and Markos is trying to remain relevant, because Kos is losing his audience to sites like Huff’n’Puff.
You get what you pay for...If you're too DUmb and stupid to realize that paying for opinions is a bad investment, get used to being a sucker.
Spot on! After going through the process several years ago, I discovered during the hearing that the whole judicial system amounts to nothing more than a life support system for attorneys. Happened again against a contractor who made off with the down payment and deliverd no work. Had the sucker dead to rights and not even the city licensing agency was interested in taking his license away. But guess who had to pay all of the legal fees anyway just to get an injunction against him?
It looks like you could squeeze enough oil out of Markos’ hair to fill a 55 gal drum.
A real judge would throw this case out as it’s not possible to damage the credibility of those who have none.
All leftists and democrats are liars.
They deserve each other.
Nice news to start a day.
Hahaha, if you do go to their site they always show Obama as being more popular than God basically, amongst the American people, which any person with 1/2 a brain knows is computer twattle.
They should sue the idiots who gave them that nonsense.
