President Obama on controlling the debt: "Somehow people say, why are you doing that, I'm not sure that's good politics. I'm doing it because I said I was going to do it and I think it's the right thing to do. People should learn that lesson about me because next year when I start presenting some very difficult choices to the country, I hope some of these folks who are hollering about deficits and debt step-up because I'm calling their bluff. We'll see how much of that, how much of the political arguments that they're making right now are real and how much of it was just politics."

That is the city/states funding that was cut this would be the federal funding. For Oakland it would probably mean much more than it would other places like here where they just decided to cut the OT to the police dept. IIRC I believe that about 10%- 20% of LE budgets comes from the federal government?
Obama declaring War on Conservatives. Obama sees Republicans and Conservatism in general as his enemy. This is his bring it on speech. Cut the 40 percent of the Useless government and you will solve the defecit problem but no, no, no, he won’t be agreeing to that... His plan is to increase taxes, Vat Taxes and a whole host of other business punishing steps that will ensure bankruptcy in the USA.
He means that he will offer, as a means of debt reduction, to slash the defense budget. When conservatives balk, he will claim that they are not serious about debt reduction. Conservatives should anticipate this and preempt it.
Cut all federal spending to 2005 levels. Problem solved.

Just think of that paragraph’s implications: a “down payment” on a “US commitment,” that is, not an act of generosity for which the US must get something in return. Rather, the phrasing makes it seem the US owes them the money.

That is so incredibly sad... I knew he was clueless, but this confirms it. I think he’s delegated ALL of his duties to others and thinks it’s “All Under Control”. He can’t be bothered with any briefings — much less a few hours a day keeping track of the war like his predecessor did, and forget about handling the oil spill — he’s got golf to play, dangit!
What does he mean about “calling our bluff”, anyway... What ‘bluff’??? I honestly think he may be trying to bankrupt the US on purpose, and then stoke the fires of people’s misery by cutting off all gov’t programs saying “we’re broke”, sorry! THEN maybe he’ll try to pass a tax bill to ‘make sure everyone’s getting their SS, SSI, and Welfare checks’.
It sounds to me like he’s definitely wanting to cause a violent “revolution” from the ‘inside’, so to speak. They’re already IN power, so they don’t have to cause the violence themselves directly, but they still need the violence and chaos in order to secure absolute power.
When Barbara Boxer said at Obama’s inauguration that the world was witnessing a “peaceful transition of power”, she didn’t mean the ‘normal’ Republican to Democrat transfer... And, it sounded like an omen of sorts — that we may not have such ‘peaceful’ transfers in the future. I hope I’m wrong though...
My brother in law met this evil creep this spring as a CEO of a decent size US/ Inmternational company.
He was shaken by the meeting and by who in control of the White house.
He descibes him as a snide black radical ghetto thug surrounded by a creepy all black staff.
He felt like the guy was not in charge but a front man
but he was a third rate front man.
When you think about it, what else could he be?

We have alot of rino in congress who don’t really believe in spending cuts. Obama is calling their bluff
True. And it appears he expects them to be in charge next year. At least that gives me hope.
