Joe Brown and Allee Bautsch
Allee Bautsch, chief campaign fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend Joe Brown, were savagely beaten Friday night in New Orleans after leaving a Republican party fundraising dinner by a group of thugs who reportedly targeted the couple because they were wearing Sarah Palin pins.
Bautch's leg was broken and Brown incurred a broken jaw and nose as well as a concussion.
The Hayride reports that a source who visited Bautsch at the hospital the day after the attack says they were told the couple was attacked for wearing Palin buttons:
Two people at the Brennans event have now confirmed that the protest had largely broken up by the time it ended, but we also understand from someone who visited Allee Bautsch in the hospital Saturday morning that she and Brown were followed and attacked expressly because they had Palin pins on (she heard one of the attackers say Lets get them, they have Palin pins on so the attack WAS politically motivated as its victims understood it. It was not a mugging, it was not an argument gone wrong and it was not a bar fight.
The story of a Republican and her boyfriend being viciously attacked for wearing Palin buttons has yet to make national headlines, unlike say, unfounded rumors of nasty words being said by Tea Party protesters.
James Carville’s city is actually named after his family. Carville, Louisiana. Home of the Leprosy Hospital.
It’s getting extremely ugly out. Stay safe.
"My only fear is this may turn out to be like the chick who claimed Obama people cut her face, then admitted she faked the attack."
That comment was ridiculous, considering the injuries that have been reported.
And that is why I replied the way I did....
Sure it's good to be weary, and careful. But you were implying that they "faked" their attack.
Were you not?
Interesting times ahead.
As harpseal used to say: “Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed”
Harpseal got it right: “Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed”
And did you read further into the thread?!?!?!
I dunno. If mob is coming at me, I am not going to take three shots at one before moving to then next target, especially taking the time for a head shot at a moving target in the heat of battle ...
“Does this qualify as a HATE CRIME ?”
I am not one who supports hate crime laws. However, by their definition, I would say this attack qualifies as a hate crime. Just don’t expect anyone on the left to mention it as it only applies to people of color, and those who are BLGT.
What was the race of the attackers?
Bookmark for later.
Except in some cases.....

Don't think so. I believe he's actually from the famous leper colony at Carville LA. See here:

(Just too bad the doctors down there didn't keep him under a permanent, lifetime quarantine!)
One for the list.
Not a word that I can find on news here,,,Typical,,,
I guess rat season just opened...
Not likely. In this area of the French Quarter, there are several surveillance cameras on every block.I suspect the police already have solid leads on the perpetrators.
Do you think they’ll bury it?
Jindal’s office confirmed the governor had received a letter from the Guardians of the free Republics and directed all further questions to the Louisiana State Police.

Yeah, right. “Far-right, Christian militias.” BS.
They’re dying to place the blame on “far-right” fringe groups when in fact, anarchists are LEFTIE, UNION GOONS.
Can’t miss the name...Guardians of the free Republics.
Oh, so the MSM was right about the tea party movement leading to violence... oh, wait.
Yep, I am guessing that it might be hard to shift the blame depending on the race of the attackers. We’ll see...
