It's guts ball time for an Army surgeon who has vowed not to deploy to Afghanistan with his unit unless President Obama provides evidence that he's a "natural born" citizen of the United States.

Your analogy using "Pointe-Du-Hoc" was, IMO, not applicable because the Rangers were fulfilling their assigned mission. Similarly, Lafkin's assigned mission is to deploy and provide medical services.

This is false. There's no proof the state of Hawaii issued the jpg that Obama presented. The HI DOH has refused to say they issued the alleged COLB or that it's real.

The birth certificate is proof enough (remember, there are also birth announcements in local papers, comments by eyewitnesses, etc), UNLESS someone has strong evidence to the contrary.
A jpg is NOT proof enough and the birth announcement show no place of birth. Your alleged evidence is 0-2.

Sorry, but I don't believe that. The reporter claimed that he found the part about Obama's birth in Indonesia on the Internet. That doesn't wash.
And Obama has not reported that he was born in two different hospitals. Obama has consistently stated that he was born at Kapiolani. I'm at a loss where you even got this idea.

I'm not sure that your question is relevant in the context of this discussion, however the reality is that children do question their parent's authority. How parents answer the challenge determines the form and duration of the questioning.

His parents were Palistinian Arab Muslims. He was always a Muslim. Attended the local Mosque in Killeen, just about 4 miles south of the East Gate of Ft. Hood on the corner of Omar Drive and Ft. Hood streets. (I drove by it yesterday, and will again later today). IIRC,prior to that he attended the same mosque in the DC area that some of the 9-11 hijacker attended while in the area.
I believe to those who believe Barack Obama is not qualified Constitutionally to hold the office of POTUS, he is recognized as “de facto President in posse” and as “de jure President in posse.” That doesn’t fit neatly onto an envelope.
Nor very likely would having addressed a letter as this man did be recognized as an admission against interest before any tribunal.
If he has it, why has he been so reluctant to produce it in a Court of Law. An image on the internet doesn't count. Especially one of a document that is just a computer printout in the first place, and thus pretty easy to cobble up a "real" looking fake.
Regardless of the merits of Lakin’s case, I suspect since the Army leadership has been justly criticized for not dealing with the Mooselimb Major quickly enough, they will be looking for a chance to show they have reformed in that aspect. Lakin may be made an example of.
