Greeley Native, U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and full-fledged birther Terry Lakin is refusing to deploy to Afghanistan until he sees evidence he can believe in that Pres. Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States. Lakin released a YouTube last week speaking in familiar talk-radio terms about his doubts regarding the presidents citizenship and his legitimacy as commander in chief. Today he received a letter from his brigade commander warning that he faced court marshal and time in prison. This would be Lakins second deployment to Afghanistan. He is fundraising for his legal defense, he says, looking to raise $50,000 by the end of the week. His Greeley relatives are putting distance between themselves and his birther campaign.
Lakins father Frank told the Greeley Tribune Friday that his sons video wasnt representative of the family. This does not reflect the opinions or the attitude of the family by any means, he said. Were Obama supporters.
There have been a handful of soldiers in the last year who have refused to deploy for the same reason. Their cases have gone nowhere and have inspired little confidence. In July, Major Stefan Frederick Cook volunteered to deploy to Afghanistan and then refused and hired infamous birther lawyer Orly Taitz to represent him in a federal suit he filed against the president. But volunteers are under no order to deploy and so his request was merely rescinded.

Ping!
Lakins father Frank told the Greeley Tribune Friday that his sons video wasnt representative of the family. This does not reflect the opinions or the attitude of the family by any means, he said. Were Obama supporters.
So, they got ONE good one out of that horseshit gene pool...
obumpa
Proud of the fact that they have no clue where Bogus POTUS came from.
Lt. Col. Lakin is defining himself as a true leader. The presence of brave leaders such as Lakin in our military conserves its integrity.
In failing to act honorably and clear up the questions regarding his background, Obama legitimizes Lakin’s actions.
“In failing to act honorably and clear up the questions regarding his background, Obama legitimizes Lakins actions.”
You know, I think that is EXACTLY right...when W. was putting out all his stuff...including x-rays from the dentist in AL...a lot of people laughed and thought he shouldn’t, but why the hell not? I think a leader is bestwhen he is unafraid to be challenged. The Cowardly Kenyan is the best proof of how NOT to lead...secrecy and misdirection...
Lakin is almost as big a jerk as you are.
Anyone in Lt. Col. Lakin’s position (whos also paying attention) is faced with a difficult choice between 1) having to submit to his commanders no matter what, and 2) the possibility of issuing illegal orders.
Those with the highest sense of morals and an understanding of basic constitutional principles will find greater weight with #2.
Those who are more likely to follow the crowd and act according to blind faith in their leaders will more likely choose #1.
I would say Lt. Col. Lakin is a very brave man of particularly strong character who also has an accurate sense of morality.
In a remarkable shifting of the traditional legal burden of proof, the plaintiff in this case unashamedly alleges that defendant has the burden to prove his natural born status, Land wrote at the time. Any middle school civics student would readily recognize the irony of abandoning fundamental principles upon which our country was founded in order to purportedly protect and preserve those very principles.
What do you legal types here think of what Judge Land says in the case of Connie Rhodes?
He is putting his freedom where his mouth is.
For that I do have to admire him.

What about the craptacular vetting process Obammy got through that McCain had issues with because his daddy and citizen mommy were in a US territory when she gave birth.
Vs. A daddy who was a Kenyan/U.K. citizen, with a mommy who may have given birth off US soil and grew up being adopted by and indonesia father and possibly keeping his indonesian citizen.....

“But volunteers are under no order to deploy and so his request was merely rescinded.”
What? Since we have a totally volunteer military does this mean that anyone who requests to have their orders rescinded would be allowed to do so? And would be given permission?
I couldn't disagree more. Lakin's oath to uphold and defend the Constitution is paramount, and cannot be trumped by anyone - certainly not by orders that originate with a President whose legitimacy is at best highly suspect.
The aspect of this story that I find most illuminating is that the Army is apparently afraid to actually proceed with a Court Martial. Despite their bluff, they have made other statements that appear to indicate that they are in no hurry to prosecute Lakin. This is similar to what happened in the other cases in which soldiers challenged Obama's authority. NONE of these people have been Court Martialed. But why?
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that higher-ups in the Pentagon know that there is a real problem with Obama's eligibility, or the Administration does and has ordered them to back off to avoid a trial that could open them up to the discovery process. Add this otherwise inexplicable behavior to Obama's never-ending legal efforts to quash any effort to get at the truth and you can call me a very proud "birther". Yep folks, there's no other conclusion that can be drawn: We have an illegitimate President.
Birther Army doctor Lakin refuses to deploy, - his Greeley family supports 0bama
[Thanks, Slings and Arrows.]
*******
And what happens to the military doctor when sometime down the road Hawaii releases Obama's long form birth certificate to the public and there is no doctor or hospital name on it?
Does the doctor get a public apology from our government and the return of all his military back pay and benefits and a promotion?
You're looking like the biggest jerk on this board right about now.
Care to explain yourself?
