Seriously, I fully understand the significance of the assault on our liberties and freedoms we've just witnessed.
But for the love of God, take your two seconds and get it out of your system and get ready to take back the country. It's our own damn fault we let this happen so now what are we going to do? Sit and cry like these bozos own us? They only own you if you let them.
I'll say this-I don't know what all the answers are but I know it will take an incredible effort and some very brave and smart people to rebuild this thing. You have a choice-lay on the ground and get walked on by these cretins or get up off your butt and start fighting back. It starts now. I'm 34 years old and I'm not taking this laying down-I've got too much pride in my country and self to let a two-bit crackhead like Obama run my life. I also know that the old saying "United we stand, divided we fall," is going to be critical moving forward. I watched some people up in Washington that should inspire all of us-Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Mark Levin, Michelle Bachmann. What great great people and true leaders. We have some great leaders to build around that's for sure. I couldn't be prouder of the true Patriots that have fought and will continue to fight for us.

That is well said. What we need here is a sort of noble unrest, not the resigned lethargy of defeat. We need to work and get Republicans elected in the fall elections.
The Democrats passed this medical monstrosity without any bipartisan support. I don't believe that has ever been done before. They can be defeated.

I live in MIchigan. Stupak was the one to give in. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING I can do will stop my two elected senators, Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin from doing anything but vote 100% for all liberal causes.

Speak for yourself. I've fought it in many ways for many years. Today is very painful, and if I need to cry and scream I will, and I won't be lectured. My family was torn apart and impoverished by war and then communism in Europe, and now we face it here. I know the evil we face and I have seen it advancing for decades. The divisions this is causing in our society are already deep, and they will tear apart families and communities. It won't be an easy path, and I for one, need to grieve my losses - at least until tomorrow.
Not here. A lot of us relish a good fight against these tyrants. Don’t listen to the whiners (sadly Krauthammer) that say that this legislation cannot be substantially weakened or repealed. These pundits are not prophets. Did anyone actually think 0bama would be able to socialize nearly 50% of the economy in only one year?
Much of the benefits do not start until 2014. That will give us time for the court challenges and state legislative initiatives. We will have time to change things in November and 2012 and damn right we are going to demand a remedy.
This is not like Medicare which had broad bi-partisan support. This is not as 0bama will try to claim as something that conservatives will learn to love. Zero will try to compare himself to Reagan and his tax cuts which were broadly but not uniformly opposed by the Dims (remember the Reagan Democrats). The fact of the matter is that Reagan’s tax cuts worked to raise prosperity for everyone, 0bamacare will only destroy the economy, health care and the Constitution.
I believe that in the days ahead, many ways to defeat this horror will present themselves. There are too many riled people for this to proceed. Those in DC are not our masters. They need to be told that. Insistently.
I know! We also had the Foley and Abramoff and explosion of earmarks under Hastert.
It was a mess and with ACORN voting fraud very heavy in 2006 and 2008, we don’t even know how many Democrats are legally elected.

Pete Sessions who is running NRCC is no moderate and getting some great conservative candidates to run. They are not even close to being moderate.
Come back and tell me when Pete Sessions recruits moderate candidates to run. Fiscal, small government conservatives is what they have been recruiting. The candidates they have recruited so far are what conservatives have been looking for in candidates.
I disagree. These people should hear about their perfidy relentlessly. Consistently. I think all of them should be flooded with mail, email and phone calls. Daily.
It's a few months till November. But people need to get involved and help elect Republicans to office. And that will start in the primaries. The Rhinos get us into this mess. They will not get us out of it. (Did I say that I hope John McCain loses?)
Your anger is warranted, but don't let it overwhelm you ... instead, embrace it, hang on to it, control it and apply it whenever the opportunity arises throughout the summer ... then let 'er rip in November.
I am confident that out of the tumult we've just been through effective leadership to restore the House and the Senate to their proper roles will emerge, and oh how you will enjoy watching the socialist president twist in the wind for the remainder of his one and only term of office.
