Tired of the Defeatist Attitudes Here
3/21/10 | self

Seriously, I fully understand the significance of the assault on our liberties and freedoms we've just witnessed.

But for the love of God, take your two seconds and get it out of your system and get ready to take back the country. It's our own damn fault we let this happen so now what are we going to do? Sit and cry like these bozos own us? They only own you if you let them.

I'll say this-I don't know what all the answers are but I know it will take an incredible effort and some very brave and smart people to rebuild this thing. You have a choice-lay on the ground and get walked on by these cretins or get up off your butt and start fighting back. It starts now. I'm 34 years old and I'm not taking this laying down-I've got too much pride in my country and self to let a two-bit crackhead like Obama run my life. I also know that the old saying "United we stand, divided we fall," is going to be critical moving forward. I watched some people up in Washington that should inspire all of us-Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Mark Levin, Michelle Bachmann. What great great people and true leaders. We have some great leaders to build around that's for sure. I couldn't be prouder of the true Patriots that have fought and will continue to fight for us.

Molon Labe.

wrong.

Republicans in Congress lost in ‘06 and ‘08
because they supported Bush and his
useless occupations of Iraq and A’stan

Radical?

I am more leery of who or what defines the useage.

Right now I suggest everyone just go to bed, take a day off monday, don’t watch the news, do stay on FR but for heavens sake, calm down.

I suggest waiting until wednseday, then start working on taking back America, peacefully, logically and above all constructively, the things that liberals hate so much.

Keep in mind that leaders rise up when needed.

That's what I am hoping.  I am not a leader and do not pretend to be, but they are out there somewhere.

I amy not be a great leader but I'd make a heck of a good follower.

We need someone to rise up and show us how to make a LOUD statement, one that they have no choice but to listen to.  I am not trying to degrade the great work by many people here, but it did not work and someone needs to show us the way or we will fail again and again.

Let’s continue to harass the piss out of these guys. Keep flooding the DC offices and let these clowns know we’re not going away. We’re going to put them out of office and take back our country.

The definition of insanity is trying the same things over and over and hoping for different results.

Right, stop the whining. Do not get on the whambulance.

I have got it easy since my Representative and both my Senators are apposed to this thing. It is you all who live in the democrat wastelands who have to identify or provide an opponent to the people who have betrayed the Constitution.

This will be a never ending campaign. One battle lost does not signal defeat, nor does one won signal victory.

Americans play to win - all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and cried about it. The real American never lets fear of defeat overpower his honor or his sense of duty to this country. Never give up. Live free or die, but take a few of the bastards with you.

“We have to go big.”

All this “revolution” talk is not necessary, at least not at this point. The laws of unintended consequences will probably take care of this disastrous legislation, given sufficient time - AS LONG AS the truth is kept in the light of day. It may not even take very long.

That is what everyone should be focusing on. the truth and accountability.

When Lincoln was faced with ineffective generals during the Civil War - it took him a while, but he finally rolled some heads. That was what finally turned the tide and preserved the Union.

This is what we must focus on in the short term - getting rid of the ineffectives in the party. Err on the side of exile, if there is any question.

There is not much time, politically, until November. Right now the GOP is planning on patting themselves on the back on opposition to Obama. They have no plan but “HOPE the American people make a CHANGE” - and that Obama’s unpopularity drags the democrats down.

This is not a plan. We cannot afford to be shaking our heads yet again the day after the November elections saying “what happened?”.

Conservatism works politically every time it’s tried. The country needs it now.

They lost their way under Denny Hastert and their leadership at the time. I blame Bush for his going left after 2004 and no one has ever explained it to me but Hastert was perfectly content to go along and name Chairman who supported him.

A drag?

Come to think of it that's not a bad idea! Think I'll fire up a butt and remember the days when you senior senator wasn't the senate majority lead. Same thing I did when Daschle got canned! In the mean while YOU might want to get your house in order while you've got the chance and you end up like us in ca.

“Well I would like to see you do better. This negativity against Republicans who have been standing tall shows that no matter what they do some people on here will continue to criticize.

Shame on the people that cannot tell the difference between being willing to stand up to fight for all of us and rolling over when totally outmanned.”

Tempers are running high.... These guys may have fought hard, and some of them should be salvaged - but the GOP political leadership needs to be sacked immediately and with extreme prejudice against poor performance. We were outnumbered because of GOP failure in 2006, and 2008. We can’t let it happen again in 2010 - and with the same tired old “big tent moderate” ideas, we’ll lose in November, too.

They were ineffective.....AGAIN. they need to go.

I’m proud of the everyone who fought this evil too. But sometimes evil wins. And there is no happy ending here, except for the folks who have consolidated power and money by way of this bill.

I see only four alternatives: (1) Totalitarian state as far as the eye can see; (2) Revolution; (3) Secession and Civil War; (4) An American Pinochet and all the ugliness that entails. All four are really crappy alternatives. And my son has to live through one of them.

So I’m kind of negative tonight about God’s plan for my beloved country. I don’t expect that to change in my lifetime.
