Reporting from Washington As Virginia Thomas tells it in her soft-spoken, Midwestern cadence, the story of her involvement in the "tea party" movement is the tale of an average citizen in action.
"I am an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb., who just may have the chance to preserve liberty along with you and other people like you," she said at a recent panel discussion with tea party leaders in Washington. Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama's "hard-left agenda."
But Thomas is no ordinary activist.
She is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and she has launched a tea-party-linked group that could test the traditional notions of political impartiality for the court.

Hey, John Conyer’s wife is in prison for fraud, bribery, and conspiracy.
But there’s a wall of separation there, right...

9th circuit court Justice Stephen Reinhardt is one (of many I assume) who can be used to refute leftists who claim this is improper. Reinhardt, known as one of the most liberal justices on the court of appeals, is married to Ramona Ripston. She is the Executive Director of the ACLU of Southern California.

Yes the article spin is that Ginnies activity effects the impartiality of the court.
Thats is only if its Republican activity. If she were a leftust, the LA Times would be saying how her activity fills out the living constitution so it applies to women being politically active and emancipated!
The LA Slimes can EFF RIGHT OFF!
This is Clarence Thomas's answer to being dissed in the Obama's State of COnfusion Address to the Nation in which Obama dissed the Suoreme COurt for its decision on McCain Feingold political free speech.
And it has the Dems worried!

So when is the LA Slimes going to run an article on Stephen Reinhardt of the Ninth Circuit and his wife who was the director of the ACLU in Southern California for the majority of his career?
To: thecodont
This is great news! But look for the enemy to redouble their efforts against Justice Thomas.

Talk about courage under fire.
First of all she is her own person entitled to all the rights and privileges set forth by our creator. The BOR applies to her as well, no matter who she is married too.
Do I think her and her husband have discussed this at some great length? Yes.
May God Bless them keep them safe in the palm of His hand.
