The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is likely to find itself the target of more criticism after a Dallas immigration judge ordered one of their former board members deported due to terror connections. Nabil Sadoun, a leader in the Dallas Islamic community, had already left the United States for his native Jordan at the time of the ruling and Judge Anthony Rogers said that by taking such action he had waived his right to appeal the case. Dallas-Fort Worth news reports:
In court, the judge made vague references to the governments voluminous motion to deport him, including alleged involvement with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The judge concluded Sadoun lied on government forms when he denied he was a member.
The judge also indicated there was evidence Sadoun contributed to the Richardson-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, which was the largest Islamic charity in the United States. Prosecutors convicted the group of funneling money to terrorist groups and several of its leaders were sent to prison. In the case, CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator.
The U.S. govenrment has not publicly made available the information it used to prosecute its case against Sadoun.
This is not the first time that CAIR or Texas Islamic leaders have come under legal scruntity for connections to terror organizations. In 2008 Ghassan Elashi was convicted with four others in the Holy Land Foundation trial. Ghassan Elashi, besides being on Holy Lands board, was the founder of the Texas chapter of the Council for American Islamic Relations and had been previously convicted of funding Hamas in 2005. Elashi was sentenced to sixty-five years for his role in the Holy Land Foundation charity.
Sadoun resigned from CAIRs board a number of months ago. When Ibrahim Hooper, one of CAIRs most visible spokespeople was asked why Sadoun left, Hooper provided little insight simply saying Board members come on, (and) they leave.
It is also telling when the organization doesn't offer honest answers when asked why this guy left the organization.
I am sure we are all shocked
If he was born in America, he should still go back to his ancestral home.
What would they have done if he’d been born in America? People like that are loyal to their ancestral religion and culture and so they should go back there
Another al Arian supporter.
Guy didn’t even show up for his own immigration hearing to avoid answering questions under oath about his ties to Islamic terror groups. From NBC-Dallas/Fort Worth:
An immigration judge in Dallas on Friday ordered an outspoken Islamic leader deported after the U.S. government alleged he had ties to terrorist groups in the Middle East.
Nabil Sadoun, a Dallas resident and former board member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, was deported to his native Jordan after he failed to appear at his immigration hearing. He entered the U.S. in August 1993.
Sadoun’s attorney, Kimberly Kinser, said he was already in Jordan and was unable to return to Texas because the government had taken his permanent resident card, or green card.
She denied he was tied to any terrorist groups.
In the hearing, Judge Anthony Rogers of the Executive Office for Immigration Review, said Sadoun “made a decision to leave the U.S.” and forfeited his right to fight his deportation. He said the decision was final and could not be appealed.
In court, the judge made vague references to the government’s voluminous motion to deport him, including alleged involvement with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The judge concluded Sadoun lied on government forms when he denied he was a member.

Terror associations should be made a crime. If you are connected to ‘terror’; then you should go to frickin prison!
CAIR is nothing but a front organization for the most despicable terror groups; radical Islamists; radical mosques. Their agenda is to aid and abett all Islamists whose active agenda it is to ‘own’ America and sit in the power seat, where Obama now sits. Heck. . .he is helping them. . .so he may never give up that chair.
Wonder when we’ll be able to deport Ibrahim Hooper’s fat behind.
Another Sadoun... wonder if they are related :
BELGRADE, Serbia-Montenegro - An Iraqi envoy loyal to Saddam Hussein said Friday he believes the Iraqi leader was killed in the coalition bombing of Baghdad. “I know his character,” Iraq’s ambassador to Belgrade, Sami Sadoun, told The Associated Press in an interview. “The defense of Baghdad would not have collapsed so quickly if he was not dead.”
Sadoun, who headed the Iraqi Cabinet for 25 years, said he lost all contact with his superiors in Baghdad early this month after a U.S. warplane dropped four bunker-busting bombs near a restaurant where Saddam was believed to be meeting with his sons. ——————Iraqi Envoy Believes Saddam Is Dead, AP ^ | Dusan Stojanovic Posted on Saturday, April 19, 2003

SNIPPET: “Having left the U.S., Sadoun, who entered the country in 1993, forfeited his right to fight his deportation, said Judge Anthony Rogers. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.
The judge indicated the government had evidence showing Sadoun contributed to the Richardson-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, which was the largest Islamic charity in the United States. Five leaders of the group were convicted in 2008 of funneling money to terrorist groups and some were imprisoned. CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case.
Last fall, Sadoun was issued an order to appear in immigration court on charges he violated immigration laws and omitted critical information on his application for an visa in 1993, officials told the Dallas Morning News. The government alleged Sadoun had failed to disclose involvement with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, both of which have been designated terrorist organizations.”

My jaw just dropped as I read your post.
BUMP and thanks for posting this Piasa.
I invite you to read this post I wrote recently: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2454408/posts?page=8#8
As for what they have achieved in this administration, witness the naming of a character named Rashad Hussain to be an “ambassador to the islamic world,” which bears further investigation. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/Who-is-Rashad-Hussain_-84604307.html
Quote: “The president proudly announced that Hussain is a Hafiz, someone who has completely memorized the Quran...”
What a coincidence. So did Sayyid Qutb, the father of al Qaeda, advocate of jihad, and also educated in the United States.
Doesn’t deportation from the U.S. give you an automatic entry visa in Mexico?
Thank you for that post La Enchiladita.
